Biting, then laughing! How do I tell him to stop it?!?

My beautiful little man is going through a biting stage. His teeth are very sharp & it hurts! But when I say "Ow, that hurts Mummy" he just laughs and bites me more.
Do I bite him, so he knows what "Ow" means?
Also, what are your thoughts on smacking the back of a hand when he touches something CONSTANTLY, after you've said NO a hundred times!?
He just laughs when I say no! How do you deal with that?!?

No, goodness, don't bite him. He is experimenting with his new chompers. Saying "no" means nothing to a one year old. You just have to ignore it or say "gentle" I know it sounds silly, but at that age they have no concept of what they are doing. I posted some links on biting at the top of the page. They are pinned, so try those :)
