Crawling n Teething yet?

My son is 9 months and he has 3 teeth fully in and two more part way. He has been crawling for about 2 months and is now trying to walk ( does great with a walker). No worry's though, My nephew was late crawling and he won't sit down now!!!When he figures it out he'll be gone.

hi i have a 9mth old to she has 4 teeth with more on the way.. but as with the crawling she is just not into it.she had a lump removed from the back of her head at 5mths old since them she hates tummy time. we have just brought a walker for her and she just crusies around in it she loves the standing more than tummy time. as for my other child now 5 she was crawling at 5mths and walking at 10mths but as they say they all start when there ready to ....so just enjoy it while u can

Every baby is different. My 9 month old just started crawling although he mastered rolling around the room at 8 months. He got 8 teeth in the last month. I'm sure your sweetie will have you running after them in no time!

Hi Parul, i wouldn't worry to much as all children are different but if you are really stressed about it i'd talk to your doctor to put your mind at ease. My daughter started crawling at 6months,3weeks & walking at 10 months which i have since been told is quite fast. I was worried about her being unsettled at 2 months as she had signs of teething but i thought it was to early so i took her to my doctor & the doctor said she was. She had all the symptoms of it but her first tooth did not break the gums untill 8 months! On the other hand my son is almost 9 months & already has 4 teeth & another 2 almost though. He started crawling at almost 8 months but not properly (comando crawl) until about a week ago. He is now pulling himself up on everything & learning to stand. All babies are not the same & will do things in there own time. I always checked with my doctor if i wasn't sure of anything, hope this helps to put your mind at ease & merry xmas!

The normal range for crawling is 6-10 months so he still has plenty of time to crawl before you should worry.

The normal range for teeth is 5-12 months, that's a huge range and shows how different every baby is.

With teething I just keep an eye on him and days where he is constantly rubbing his lips on his gums I know his teeth are hurting so I dose him up with a homeopathic teething remedy and put numbing teething gel on his gums. If it seems really bad or he is having trouble sleeping I give him some paracetamol (but not too often). He doesn't seem to like cold teething rings out of the fridge so he just chomps on them at room temperature.

Agree!\every baby develops at their own pace & it doesnt mean anything if one is faster or slower than the other! Enjoy each & every moment and cherish the time with your baby as they grow so quickly! Before u know it,the teeth will come and the crawling too!!! :-))

My baby (29th March) is commando crawling, and is super fast, sitting herself up, standing up, etc yet has been teething for months, she had a tooth come up in October, but it went back in, and she is still yet to have teeth...
My cousins baby is a week older and isnt crawling yet has 2 teeth... Her friends baby who is 6 weeks younger than mine has 4 teeth now!
I only wish I could pause time and enjoy her as a baby for longer..... They grow up too fast... Your bub will get there in his own time...

Our nine month old is not crawling at all yet...she pivots around on her tummy but does not get up on her knees at all...though she has pulled herself up to furniture from sitting a couple of times. She has six teeth and is working on 7 and 8 right now... I think there are really wide ranges of normal for both of these things. My mom says I didn't have any teeth until I was 13 months old!

My daughter Emma was born March 20th. She was 6 wks early fr her due date. She has done EVERYTHING early. She has been crawling since 6 months and pulling herself up since 7 months. Emma is working on teeth 7&8!!! And as a result, she is little miss screamy at night.
However, my daughter Madeline was just 2 Nov. 10th. She has been 'late' at everything. She didn't crawl until 10 months, cut her 1st tooth at 11 months, still was not walking at 1 yr, she is now 2 ans STILL not speaking english!! She babbles and babbles, but we communicate via sign language because she just isn't using her words!
My point is, as we all have heard, every baby proceeds at their own pace. And in MOST cases, even if our babies seem to be arriving at developmental stages 'late' they will be just fine.
Don't stress over it. Enjoy the time you still have not having to chase after--or find--your baby because they won't stay still and you can still pull stuff out of his mouth and not get bit :)

my son Alec is 9 months old and has had his bottom 2 teeth for about 3 months now. I swear he must be teething but no other teeth have showed up yet, tho his gums are swollen on top and bottom. He is also not crawling yet, and doesn't seem to be too interested in it no matter how many times we give him "tummy time" however, he does like to "stand" so the doc said perhaps he will walk before crawling.

No teeth yet here either... But this one is completely out of our control, so we just going to have to wait ;-) When it comes to crawling our daughter just started trying to put her knees under herself. No crawling as of yet, but of course we just now started letting her out of her playpen... Because of her two-year-old sister we've been hestitant on letting her out of the playpen... Well, now that we let her she really gets around, mostly dragging herself by her hands. But her technique improves day by day ;-)
