do anybody know that if your 10month old baby be around people that smoke thay will get ear infection.

Absolutely! I don't allow smoke around my children. So dangerous. The blowing in the ear thing is horrible! Try a couple drops of pure virgin olive oil in a teaspoon. Heat it with a lighter, twist half a cotton ball into a noodle shape and soak up the oil. Make sure it is not too hot,Just real warm, and push the tip of it into the ear. Not too far, just enough to grip it a little, then coil the rest of it in the shell of the ear. Leave it in for an hour. Do it as often as you want. Swear it works for me and mine.

thank you jackie for that, i have not heard that eather, but that what i heard, but i don't beleave it is true,i think most baby do get ear infection with a cold.

My 10 month old has one now and she hasn't been around smoke. Her and her sister both have one. I heard (old wives tale I'm sure) Blowing cigar smoke in a kids ear helps it heal. Really I think its the hot air. But I dunno haven't tried it.

I've not heard that. My husband smokes (but not in the house or the car or anywhere around the baby) and she's never had an ear infection. But, she's breastfed and I've read that breastfed babies don't get them as often. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
