I am just curious as to what other people out there are planning on doing for their babies 1st birthdays :)

I am really looking forward to Eloise's party...I have gone all out with a ladybeetle theme, and as there will be a lot of children under 8 we have decided to organise a jumping castle.

I found it a lil hard to get someone to do a ladybeetle cake for me...so i am going to attempt a black forrest - choc ripple cake hehe should be pretty easy~

SO WHAT ARE YOU DOING???

Aydens birthday is on the first of march, we r having two parties (one for either side ofthe family, they all get along but there are just too many of us and it will be to overwelming in one hit!!)

My family are meeting in the local playground tomorrow - 28th Feb for an early bbq dinner having dinner with hubbys family no monday (the actual birthday) at an aunty and uncles house...... for the first dinner i have made cup cakes and used 'plastic icing to spell out happy 1st birthday AYDEN and then there are 5 Mr, Men characters and an extra cup cake made up to hold the candle, I am supposed to be doing the same thing for hubbys side of the family but it took me so long to ge tdone that I am very tempted just to go to the supermarket and ge tan elcheapo ready made cake (even though I dont think i can bring myself to do this!!!!!! We are having a princess themed party and are only inviting family and a few friends and neighbors to our house. I'm just going to have pizza, chicken tenders, and some salads and hang out with our loved ones. We didn't bother making goodie bags or plan games since the children invited are 9mo and under but I think it will be fun and simple. My worries were to not overwhelm my daughter with a huge party

I'm doing a Dinosaur themed birthday (ordering decorations from Oriental Trading Company) at my Mother-in-Laws house. Both sides of the Family will be there (as many as can show up) and one other child (his cousin).

I'm going to make my son's cake, something kinda healthy and not so sugary. There will be cupcakes and other handmade goodies.

I'm even going to make a sparkling fruit drink.. I love to cook and bake, so this is a great chance for me to show off for the family! Haha

Not so much for games and such, my boy and his cousin would probably get more of a kick out of playing with the balloons and nibbling on snacks while enjoying all the gushing from the rest of the family. I might buy a bubble machine, if I can find one, and that's about it.

I'm buying a dinosaur costume for my boy and getting some pictures done.. And in the goody bags I will put that picture in there in a nice Dino-themed magnet picture frame for everyone's fridge. :D

We rented a indoor playground- they provide the juice and the thomas the Tank Engine cake.I'm making the loot bags. We have 7 kids invited and are waiting for 4 children's parents to respond. Most of the kids are my dd age(17 months older) but have younger siblings by ds's age....so the playdate will be fun for both my kids.
Then we are meeting up with childless friend & our family for a quite supper near by

I have to have a party for my little one March 20.. I am thinking it will be too cold to be outside, and I hate the thought of having both sides of family at my house, It's just too crowded, Everyone loves him and get's along, But I just don't want to clean my house for guests and then clean again wen they leave and have everything all crazy. I invited everyone back when my other kids had parties, but for my baby now that I am older, I don't really want to invite everyone !! I am Stumped !

your party sounds like fun!..Leeroy is the youngest of 5. His siblings are 9, 12, 16, and 18. So his party is going to have a wide range of age groups! we are going to have a bbq, dress up party. We are getting a bouncy castle, miss 16 is doing face paints, mister 18 is giving quad bike rides, and every party is a hit with bubbles and ballons!. I havnt decided on a cake yet, maybe lightning mcqueen. Daddy is building a big sandpit for Leeroys 1st birthday, so the kids will have lots to do! I look forward to it:)

two simple parties one for each side of the family cuz they don't get along and she's getting a mini coupe firetruck (her dad is a retired firefighter) nothing big. Just enough for pictures cuz she won't remember it and her cousins only care to play together lol.
