How are you all doing? I'm an operating room nurse and am back to work since 9 weeks old. I'm pumping usually twice during my 10 hour shift. I'm giving day care three four to five oz bottles a day. How much are you all doing? How are you surviving? Its tough giving up my break and lunch to pump!

I'm an assistant at a financial services firm. Unfortunately I only have one break long enough for me to pump during the day. I usually pump somewhere between 8-10 ounces. But it seems that my supply is slowly dimishing. Each day I pump a little less. I may have to start supplementing with formula if this keeps up. I do have milk in the freezer yet though, and I am hoping to hold out until Adrienne is eating solids also.

When my son was first born my milk came in quickly and I pumped out an over abundance of milk. We were home together for 6 weeks until I had to go back to work. I work 9 hours a day and can't pump during my shift because I work in an office full of men. Some how I have managed to keep up just enough of a supply to keep my little man happy. I pump first thing in the morning and first thing when I get home from work. It's not easy but we're hanging in there. About 2 months ago my husband and I started slowly giving our son rice cereal then oatmeal. He loves it. This past week my hubby started mixing a little bit of formula in with my milk and again a huge success. Ladies hang in there.

I pump twice during my 9 hour shift. I have a lot of milk. Usually 5 ounces per breast each pumping. When my daughter is at daycare(two days a week) I have them feed her formula so that I can freeze and save all my additional milk from those two days.

I am lucky to have a job flexible enough to allow me to pump, but it's still hard to get away. Plus I like my social time! I usually pump at my breaks, but leave lunch for socializing. Sometimes I only get one pump in, but it's the best I can do. Gotta do what you gotta do!

You are all so lucky. When I came back to work I immediately started losing my milk supply. I am a Radiology Technologist and I do 12hr graveyards. My fellow employees and boss were not simpathetic to my needs, so within 12 hours I was only able to escape to pump 1 time per shift. This past monday was my very last feeding with my son. I lost my supply so much that he was getting frustrated with having to feed from me first and finish with a bottle. It makes me jealous that you all were able to do it for so long, but I am happy for you all. Good luck to all you working moms!

Its definitely a challenge, and I find I have to plan my day down to the minute it seems. I pump twice a day and nurse my daughter at her daycare during lunch. I'm lucky that I have a DC so close to my office. Hang in there!

Waiting to see how it will go after I go back to work after summer vacation. When I got back from leave, I pumped during prep 9:30 and then lunch around noon, but there were 3-4 hours between sometimes. This year I have first hour prep so I'll be going from 8:30 til after Noon before I can pump. Hope I don't leak. It would be a bit embarrassing anyway, but especially with middle school kids around.

I pump about two times per day at work (11am and 4:00pm). I typically have been having to do an early morning pump before I leave for work, as well (6am). I send four-4 oz. bottles of b. milk with my son to daycare. I've just started adding rice cereal to the milk today so it will be interesting to see if he eats it all or not. Pumping is a slight inconvenience, but yes, totally worth it!

My heart goes out to all of you! I was a Ped Dental Asst when my first was born and I pumped every 3 to 4 hours at work. Made it to 10 months, then I just got sick of it! Started giving the Enfamil Next Step during the day and continued nursing in the mornings and at night. Lasted until we were both ready to wean at 14 mos. Kudos to you guys! Keep up the hard work! Pumping sucks but it's worth it! :-)

I'm a business analyst at an insurance company. I pump twice and send day care 3 or 4 3.5 ounce bottles. I don't mind taking my lunch to go pump, I just miss my baby then!

I am a respiratory therapist at a small hospital. I have been pumping every 3 to 4 hours at work (or whenever I can!). I pump as often as my son is eating. I usually send 2 freshly pumped bottles (6-7 ounces) in the morning and 2 additional 6 oz bottles in the cooler for a 8 hour day. This is usually more than enough, but of course I don't want him to run out. It's all new to me (I am a first time mom) It's very hard to give up break time to pump, but just remember it's the best thing for him. Try to hang in there!!!
