When i use to work in a cafe/bar i served couple with a little 1 named bailey,,,after her fav drink,got me thinking? so when i was cleaning the bottles i came across kahlua thought about it ,then came up with kahlia,, years later when i had my girl -Kahlia was still in my head & so be it :)

I named my daughter after my mother and my grandmother. My Mothers middle name is Kay and my grandmothers first name is Grace. My daughters name is Graciee Kay. :)

I was determined that I was having a girl the 1st time so childishly refused to pick a boys name. My friend held a friendly intervention and refused to let me leave her kitchen until I had a boys name - she had a fancy box from a bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream on the cupboard so hence my gorgeous boy Bailey Dylan Thomas! I just liked Dylan and Thomas is my grandfather's middle name. My husband picked my second sons name, Samuel (because we liked it) Desmond (after his grandfather. My daughters name however had been set since I was about fifteen. I chose Lillian (paternal grandmothers 1st name) Emily (maternal grandmothers 2nd name). Bailey loves the story about how he got his name!!

Hmmm. My partner suggested Summer, but I got picked on at primary by a girl called Summer so I said no, Winter is nice. So we went with that. No research, no parents/grandparents, no baby name books. Lol.

My sons name is Christian John David. I knew I wanted to use John and David as middle names I just didnt know which order. I have to "adopted families" John is the middle name of one of them and David is my others First name. I didnt like Boyd or Lee so I picked John and David I didnt want to use them as first names cause I didnt want it to look like oe of them was more important than the other. I had no idea what I wanted as a first name. I had a rough pregnancy that made my faith even stronger. My mom and I were on our way home from having my ultrasound where I found out I was having a lil boy we were half way home when we were talking names. Girl names we were looking at were Faith Hope Joy so we decided that Christian wrapped those names and more into one name. All four names have so much meaning to me and although his name is really long We also call him CJ and Im sure as he gets older he'll want Chris maybe my lil Brothers name is Chris and we have an uncle Chris also so Big Chris Lil Chris and Mini Chris would be a lil much thats why we are hoping hell stick with CJ but either way is cool

Yes Ali it sound's so too my son is Like that he is very confident and extremely clever he comes out with a lot of words and does alot of thing's like he already knew them very well before i taught him or he learnt them if you know what I mean?? sorry if that sounds a bit confusing. I believe he has been here before his way too smart and in the know more then i can believe sometimes...

Our first son name is Matthew Joseph. We actually ended up having 2 middle names picked out. My other brother Matt passed away in '04 so I wanted to use his name as a middle name but my husband's wanted to use Joseph because of his dad, his great uncle and him all have the same middle name which is Joseph. We could not agree on any other names than those 2 so we just chose to use Matthew as his first name. I wanted to make sure it was okay with my step mom first because it was her son's name. She loved the idea. Our 2nd son name is Jacob James. He is named after our good friend and going to be his godfather Jacob. His mind name is our other good friend James who past away this June from cancer. We have choosen to try and use names of people that mean a lot to us to honor them by naming our kids after them. I love my family and friends, so what a great way to show it is passing there names on to our childern. =)

My son's name is Caleb Christopher. I have always wanted a boy named Caleb, and Christopher is his daddy's middle name and my brother's name is Christopher. My daughter's name is Emmalee Rose. I wanted to incorporate my middle name, Lee, in the first name, but didn't want to use Lee as a middle name because I wanted it to be Rose, which was my grandma's middle name. I wanted something to go with Lee, so I chose Emma and just ran the two names together.

Well once I found out I was having a girl instead of a boy...it was easy so I didn't have to think much. My beautiful daughter is named after my grandmother's. The only thing I had to decide was which name came first. Zenobia (my maternal grandmother) Grace (my paternal grandmother). I get asked all the time what do you call her. I'm like Zenobia Grace Settles what else. We have called her Lady Z as well. I love her name....it means Power of Zeus, with the Grace of God

Hmm may sound silly but i think Tessa choose her name as when i was 5 wkks pregnant with her it just came to me. I was really keen on Arden or Indie but in the end it was Tessa. Found out the it means born fourth in Greek a few months after she was born???

I named my son after my older brother who passed away a year before i was born his name was Andreas (Andrew) which mean's (manly) Robert his second name was named after daddy's uncle who passed away, Alexander his 3rd name we just liked and it means (manly, great) so we chose all of them names because they all had a meaning to us..



I want another baby now and will have a great time chosing names for him or her 2nd time around.. :)

Growing up I always loved the name Sara, but when our oldest daughter was born my husband wanted to name her after his mother so she got the name Anna (after my mother in law) Sigurborg (my mothers middle name). Son: Donovan Jacob...My parents names are Cynthia Dawn and Vaughn so we named our son Donovan (dawn and Vaughn) and his middle name we just thought it sounded good together. Daughter: Lexington Paige...we were looking into buying a house and I had written down a bunch of addresses when my husband read it he said "Lexington" and I said, "I love it, let's name her Lexington" It's not why he said it but I loved the way it sounded coming from his mouth! Again, the middle name just sounded right.

Two days after I unexpectedly found out I was pregnant I had a dream that I was walking in the park with a beautiful 3 year old girl. She had bright blonde hair and big blue eyes and she was called Megan. here in france you celebrate not only your birthday but your saint's day too so hubby and I got out the book of saints names and Maxence was the only one that we both liked, Pierre is after my father in law (but it is a tration in his family that the boys have Pierre in their names) and Damien after his dad so it's Maxence Pierre Damien.
My eldest is called Frederick (Freddy) because it was all we could think of at the last minuite - we were convinced he was a girl and were going to name him Florence!

my bf picked Emilee I gave her the middle name rose because that is my middle name. It would have been Dakota May, Dakota because i am Indian and it is one of the only names i can pronounce right and may because before i was adopted that was my middle name

I picked Katelyn in part because I loved the name Kate or Katie. It just sounds like such an all American, wholesome, girl next door, kind of name. However I hate Katherine or Kathleen so I came up with Katelyn. My sisters middle name is Lynn also but I didn't really pick the name after her as we aren't really close. Her middle name is Renee. I wanted Emily after my grandmother, but since I picked her first name, her dad picked her middle name and he is half french on his father's side, so he wanted something to reflect his father's heritage. We call her Kate or Katie all the time for short and the name completely suits her. She has beautiful long blonde hair and bright blue eyes. Katelyn Renee.... I absolutely adore her.

My father passed away when I was pregnant with my daughter, we decided we wanted to name our child in honor of him - Robert DeLano... so we chose DeLilah for ehr 1st name and her middle name is Lee which is my middle name, my brothers middle name, my neice and nephews middle names and my great uncles 1st name.... Then when we had our son we went with Bobby for his 1st name and his middle name is James after my hubbys middle name, which is also my father in laws 1st name, my older brothers 1st name, my uncles 1st name...ect.
If we have any more the girl name is Juliette Rose... Juliette because I love the name Julie but my hubby wants to have a name and a nickname... and rose after my mother-in law whos name is Sharon - after the "rose" of Sharon.... and the boy name would be Russel Phillip...Russel because I like it and hubby wants to call him Rusty, and Phillip is after my hubbys Grandfather who past away a few years ago.

I like names that are a little bit different but not crazy 'out there, so 15 years ago i picked the name aiden for him, and geoffrey after my (then) partners father...Unfortunately fast-forward 15 years and 'asiden' has been the most popular boys name 4 years in a row! who would have thought!! hahaha...2 years ago when we had our next son we named him 'kai' (which is hawaiian for ocean) , as my husband loves surfing, and then harmon' after his father... and last month we had our final child- a girl and wanted to pick something pretty and happy for her...so we called her 'summer' (did i mention my husband loves surfing!!hahaha!!!) and her middle name is 'daisy' in honour of my grandma...we wanted all the childrens names to go together- i dont like it when you have a few children whose names dont 'match..you know what I mean...when one child is called a traditional name like 'william' and then his brother is called 'steel' !! i think that is strange...

my sons was a debate we agreed on Chance to be his 1st name and i wanted a unique middle nname, my husband wanted Shawn. I got his second middle name from a road sign, my husband dosent know. I loved it and it stuck so we built his name around that but because i wanted Orion we had to have Shawn. Then comes the whole fight of 'Its Chanceshawn, no its Chance Shawn, why does your kid have three names (my mom)' so his name is Chance, and his middle names are Shawn Orion, then it was the spelling of those names! Well i put my foot down and wrote his birth certificate out when my husband was out of the room. Stuck it too him! Then our daughters was easy. Since i stuck it to my husband he got to pick her name, I wanted Olette very old time name from the early 1900s. He started making fun of it about what guys would say to her, so we decided to name her Aurora, to keep the greek thing going, she had to have my middle name since our sons name is my husbands middle. I got to pick the second middle name out of a list of three, we both loved Casta. So our baby girl is Aurora Lynn Casta, she ended up with two greek names and everyone adores her name saying its unique and how pretty it is. My husband didnt relize he had named her after a disney princess and wondered why I called her princess all the time, he now wishes he had named her Jasmine, cause that 'is both of our fave disney princess.

my first son i got his first name from Charmed; Wyatt and his middle cuz he is of hispanic race Miguel;so Wyatt Miguel; my second son, Giovanni cuz i didnt hear that to often and for his middle name i just gave him Michael like his big brother. and my third me and my fiance liked Sirus (cyrus) but just splled it different and his middle names: Ralph was after his great-great grandpa (who died the same month i found out i was pregnant) and he got Kinsey from his daddy

For Connor I have always loved the names Connor and Aiden. One big thing for me was honoring my Irish heritage since he wouldnt have my last name. My boyfriend stood his ground to have his first born son named after him but I just wouldnt have it, His fathers name is David but he goes by Brian and his name is David as well so to me it was confusing enough having two Davids in the family, and he hated the name Aiden so it came down to a name that we both liked and Connor was his first choice for a middle name (so even if we went with David Connor we still would be calling him Connor) So it ended up being Connor David. It took untill February to get him to agree for the boys name if Connor had of been a girl thank god we agreed on that and it wouldnt be so hard.

We both really like odd names or names that arent used too often. My daughters name is London Mckenzi Grace. My sister thought of the name London and we really liked it and we were going to orginally name her Mckenzi. So we just moved it to the middle name instead. Grace is my grandfathers mothers name and we used his moms name to sorta represent him because he passed away a month before she was born. My sons name is Tyson Curtis Shayne and we just really liked all 3 of those boy names so since we don't see anymore kids in our future we decided to just use them all.
