My son is 13 months and 4 days. He has a total of ten teeth, including 3 molars. Does anybody else's baby have molars yet? How common is this? Teething in our house has been a nightmare, he has cut 3 and 4 teeth at a time. His last molar is very swollen and he has another tooth on the bottom trying to come in. At least he soesn't get the raging fevers my daughter used to when she was teething! :)

My 13 month old has 4 molars. (Total of 12 teeth.) She has had them since she turned one. And the teething was definitely a nightmare!

My Son is 13 months old, he has 8 teeth. 4 top, 4 bottom.
He has had 8 teeth for about 4-5 months now. He's been teething for about 2 months now, but no sign of new teeth. Just constant bitting!

My son has 10 as well including top molars...whick were pretty bad poor thing. Teething is the devil lol ! he started at 4 months & didn't get a tooth until he was 8 months. same here with him with multiples. his bottom molars are very swollen. he used to get congested but no fevers.

my son is 14 months at the moment and he only has his two bottom front teeth, his two top front teeth and one eye tooth. in total he only has 5 teeth

Beleive me or not...Not one yet....My little one is now nearing his 14 month mark....hasnt got one yet..i just could see a small white dot on his lower gums that too on the side of cheeks...wonder if it wud be his first tooth.
well....really want him to have one...he has been teething from 7 months...phew.....but he can eat crunch biscuits n hard ones too..wodner how he bites n chews them...must have got stronegr gums haha

My baby girl is 14 months and only has 4 teeth!!! she has her bottom front two and her top two canines. She looks like a little vampire.. lol.

i never heard of a 13 month old haveing molars? But you never know all kids grow differently..my son is a few days away from 14 months and he is only getting his 6th tooth in! But his playmate which is 2 weeks older has 9 i think 9 or 10 but no molars..if i was you only b/c im really big on the teeth thing! id take ur little one to see his 1st dentist..ask ur pediatrition for there recommendations and then set him up for his first visit :) They say anytime after 12 months u should set up there 1st app. anyhow so if i was you id go for it now..Goodluck!

My daughter started cutting teeth at 5 month only the first two started bothering her and the rest coming in with ease she has eight full teeth and like four or six coming in all over the place.

Teething also depends a lot on when the parents got their teeth. I also think growth hormones in food and in breast milk speed that up significantly. Most formula-fed babies teeth and get hair at a slower rate. Teething is NOT a sign of health, it is merely a developmental milestone.

My son is 13 months and 1 week old and has 3 bottom teeth (working on the fourth now) and 4 top teeth. (Currently working on his upper left molar too!)

My son is 13 months old and his 4 teeth, 2 on the top and 2 on the bottom. He's slowly getting 2 more on the top. His came in slow didnt get any till 10 months old and the top 2 came in at 1 year.

My son turned a year on March 28th & he just recently got his 5th tooth. :) He has his 2 front teeth on bottom & the 2 front top teeth. The last one that came in was one beside his front tooth. :) I also have a 4 year old. But with him, lol, he got his 2 eye teeth first & that was right around his first birthday. Both of those teeth came in at the same time. So for his first birthday, he was actually toothless. lol.

My daughter has 8 teeth at 13 months but she constantly has her finger in her mouth rubbing her gum so i think more is on the way.

My son turned 1 on March 5th, and had(and still has) 8 teeth(four bottom, four top). He has 2 molars that are soon to pop, and it hasn't been easy. He had his first two bottom teeth come thru when he was just 5mos... the top two were more problematic, and came in four mos later @9mos, in early December. Then the next four teeth were heel on earth with fevers(only slight fever) and waking up at least once every night, sometimes crying non stop and wanting to scratch his face off. It wasn't so bad when I was on MAT leave, but there were a couple of times he woke up at 3:30-4am and wouldn't go back to sleep and I had to be at work for 7 or 8am.
As you can see, every child is different, even those in the same family. I don't think there is such a thing as normal...but from reading the posts, the average # of teeth for a 12mos-13mos to have is 6-8 teeth. Those with fewer can count themselves lucky ;)
I wish us all well, and lots of luck with the molars...they are nasty, or so I hear! We will get thru it all somehow!

Wow! My little guy is 1 yr 2 wks old and only has 4 teeth. It took him forever to get his 3rd and 4th teeth. I kind of wish his other teeth would get here -- he has been so fussy. I am expecting more very soon.

My daughter was born 7 weeks premature.... so technically she's almost 12 months (but really 13 1/2 months). She has 5 teeth... but her gums look like they're ready to explode... she's gotten 3 in 3 weeks...

my little boy is 13 months on the 10th, he still only has 6 teeth ( 4 top 2 bottom ) but my neice who is 12 days older already has 12 teeth ( 4 double teeth ) and is getting another 5 at the same time. my little man is teething now but they just aint coming through.

My daughter was one on the 31st of March she has a total of 11 teeth this is including 3 molars and she is cutting her 4th one at the moment. She has been pretty good teething, likes a cool teething ring and some nights give her some panadol to help with the pain while sleeping.

my son is 13 monthes old he was born march 12th 2009 he only has a total of 9 teeth..he has 4 on top n 4 on the bottom and 1 molar coming in.He drools like crazy. he actually hasnt been that bad thru his teething...i have used teething rings n some tylenol but i give crunchy treats like the baby cheetos n stuff to help him cut faster.

Have you tried Hylands teething tablets? they worked so much better for me than the anbesol or orajel b/c you can give more often and less potential side effects

Kevin has 4 top teeth, 2 bottom and a large under bite.I think this all is subject to change these are his BABY teeth.His smile melts every one he shows.
