So today, i decided to enroll my 18 month old in a Day Care. I feel comfortable enrolling her there because a close friend of mine put her daughter there since she was 9 months old.... she is now 4 yrs old and LOVES that day care! I'll only be paying $135 a week (her father pays half; $67.50 each of us), which is affordable to me. A family friend was taking care of my daughter since she was 5 months (till now, 18 months) because i had to go back to school. My daughter loves her house, because she also has a toddler, so she had a friend there and that kept her entertained. the REASON why i enrolled my daughter was because this family friend wanted to work less and still get paid that same ($120 a wk; $60 from my part). I provided all the meals, snacks, and diapers/wipes, so she never had to use any of her son's things. i felt that she was asking for too much. at the day care i'll only be paying $15 more a wk and they provide breakfast, lunch and afternoon snacks. i believe that's a fair price. Anyway, i'm a full time student and currently studying to take my nclex exam... and the family friend decided to take a wk and a half vacation. who's going to help me take care of my kid? i had no choice but to enroll her to a day care. idk, i'm PRAYING that my kid likes the place. i feel comfortable.... the staff are so NICE! although, i feel guilty putting her in a day care so YOUNG.. :( anyone else has felt guilty? what age did you put your kids? how did your kids adjust?
