Hey everyone -
This is my first baby and since 2/21 at 11:00pm I have been feeling contractions that have been five minutes apart and lasting between 40 and 60 seconds. Yesterday at around 1pm they became more consistent, closer together and a bit stronger. They were between 2 and 5 minutes apart, lasting about 60 seconds. We went to the hospital and they said that there has been no changes and sent us on our way. Ugh... so we went fo r a long walk (about 2 hours) around local stores and then came home. When we got home I decided to take a warm bath and just relax. At this point my contractions have been regularly no more than 2-4 minutes apart and are no less than a minutes to 2 minutes long. They HURT! I can no longer talk through them and I forget what I was thinking about. We decided to stick it out at home... and try to get some rest while we still can. So we went to bed around 11:00 last night and I was up the majority of the night pacing back and forth because my contractions were hurting so bad. Still this morning, I sit here eating toast and drinking water - my contractions are still hurting bad and about the same consistency as they were last night. I feel like going to the hospital isn't that far stretched, but I fear being that woman who gets sent home again!? Any thoughts?
