when should i try haveing him stand up ? He is starting to tell me when he has to go potty but not all the time.he has his good and bad days.more good then bad .

thats normal for them to tell u sometimes...my son use to do the same thing. far as the standing up i would say try it the next ime he have to go to the bathroom. my son bout to be 3 in a couple day and he stand up when he use the toilet and sit dwn when for the most part....now that he got that dwn pack he starting to shake after he go to the bathroom....

I bought a potty for my son a while ago now, one that he can open, and sit on all by himself, and even though he was still in diapers, it was something he started to get interested in and comfortable with. I thought he was ready to potty train him so I told him before we were going to start to get the ball rolling, and so he wouldn't be so shocked not having a diaper on, but the pull up didn't help, so anybody who answers your question could help me. I am not sure when I will start again, but I think I will get him used to knowing his "urge to go" and actually pee in the potty before I start with him standing up. Lots of luck to both of us in this fun time of our lives! I hope mine is potty trained before his 3rd birthday(march 5th), but at this rate, before the summer may be more likely!
