hmmm i for got we were supose to see the dr six weeks after as i have had five children i am kind of scared to even think of it right now as i bled for a bit and still have a bit of spotting now and it is now been seven weeks now since i had my daughter i am going to get myself fixed.as my other half is ok with waiting until i say it is ok or when i am ready but i could see he is starting to get antsy now about having sex again.

Hi there I gave birth to my son march 6th and we had sex 4 weeks later. I just simply couldn't wait anymore. Everything went fine it hurt just a little but after a few mins it was fine.

I had my baby March 11th and waited about 3.5 weeks. I didn't have an stitches though.

My lil one was born March 29th. Our 6 week check up is on Thursday. I refuse to have sex until I get the ok from my doctor.
I had stitches with my first two and my last two thankfully I didn't. If you have stitches it's not just the risk of infection but the risk of tearing the stitches out and having to start all over again. Your body also needs this time to recoup, it just went through something major. I want it as bad as the next person but I choose to wait until I get the all clear.

I still havent been intrested in have ing sexy my baby is nearly 10 weeks old. Sometimes I want to but im very self consious and if we're not in the mood when its dark I dont want to. we havent talked about it outright yet so im not sure if he really wants to either. we are just really not pursuing the issue at the moment so I assume that we are both on the same page.

My daughter and first baby was born March 28th. We waited until the other day, (About 5 weeks) even though I was still bleeding once in a while. I was scared but I wanted to sooo bad. It hurt some since I still have stitches but it'll get better I hope!

had my daughter on march 22nd still waiting to get the ok from my doctor she is putting the implant in on the 11th of may so i think after that i will be ok.. i am so anxious it's been way too long

Mostly the reason why they want you to wait is because of the risk of getting pregnant and the risk of getting a vaginal infection. I had a c-section this time witch make the risk of infection less, but I still waited the six weeks.

we waited almost the full 6 weeks but it was very painful the first couple times for me due to havin stitches [i think my doc threw a few extra in there for my hubby lol].

they say 6 weeks to be safe because of the rish of infecton

They always say six weeks, but this is my third and with all 3 only waited 3-4 weeks. All was fine.

I had my little girl on March 21, and we waited 4 weeks. I had a C-section and recovered quickly, fortunately. Had I known how great it was going to be, I wouldve tried sooner since my bleeding has been gone for a few weeks now!

hi i only waited 2 weeks but i stoped bleeding and i was abit tender but after a cuple off mins i was fine lol but i wished i waited longer cuz im worried about getting pregg again just after giving birth to my little girl cuz she is a handfull atm sooooo what are the chance of getting pregg again cuz i want to wait 4 a few year till i have my next little one

Hi,

I had baby on the 16/03 stopped bleeding the week after. I first had intercourse 2 and a half weeks after having bubs. However each person is different and you will need to adjust the way that you do, do it, as you may find it a little uncomfortable at first.

You don't need to wait the 6 weeks until the post natal check, as long as you feel comfortable, there is no need to hold back.

Ps. With my first pregancy I made my partner was 12 weeks. Reason being I had a c-section.

i had a bad tear and let me tell you that it was really hard waiting 5 weeks for the ok from the doctor. everyone is different but my tear was so bad that i'm still in pain every time. its been about 7 weeks now. bluhhhh

We had sex exactly 4 weeks after we had our daughter. It hurt a little, and still hurts a little when he gets all the way in, but we couldn't wait much longer...it is so nice to be able to be intimate again!!

So jelous that you are past that bleeding stage. Still having fun with that one at 4 weeks post antal my self. My sex drive is back in full force after loosing it the last months of pregnancy but my dr was determined that I not have sex until after my 6 week appointment so I'm waiting. She said that with 2nd and third pregnancy it is best to wait for pelvic walls to heal along with all the other muscles that are affected by pregnancy and birth. I believe it is what you are most comfortable with just don't push it too hard if things don't feel right. Remind him he'll have to take it slow and be patient.

I had my son on March 9th. Let me just tell you that my husband was very insistant on us waiting till my 6 weeks check up. I was kind of frustrated by I understand why. Here's why, even though you feel better your body is not back to normal quite yet, also right after you have a baby your chances of becoming pregnant are greater than any other time of your life. He just wants to be safe for you. I dont go back til tomorrow for my checkup and trust me I cant wait for the Doc to release me for all ectivities including work. But Just like the others here have said, its your body and you should do what you feel comfortable with.

I had my first babe on 27th March, no tears, grazes only. Had sex after 2 weeks and it was AMAZING! Do what feels right for you...it's your vagina and your sex life!

Congrats! My son, Akuila was also born on 10th March. Like you I have already stopped bleeding a while back and now have continued with our sex life after 4 weeks. It really depends on how you feel as well how comfortable your partner is - it takes two willing particpants to tango. Remember to play it safe otherwise the stock wil be delivering another bundle of joy in 40 weeks. Take care n good luck

hi there...with my first I was so nervous after a difficult vaginal birth that I made my husband wait beyond the 6 week mark, even though I felt fine...this time, both my husband and I were getting impatient by 3 weeks, but as I'd had a c-section this time and my tummy was still pretty sore, we still held off until almost 5 weeks and took it easy. The hardest part was remembering to be careful so that we didn't make any mistakes that could be another bundle of joy down the road!

i had my daugther on the 5th march. we waited 2weeks but we knew wat to expect as this is our second child! as long as u feel ready and ur safe cuz u can get pregnant very easily asi found out cuz my son has jus turned 17months and now have our baby girl lol xx

I had my daughter also on the 6th f March. We waited about 5 weeks. The only reason for that is because the doctor told me that was how long we HAD to wait. But I felt fine before that and have heard that if you feel up to it and bleeding has stopped that it is OK.

I gave birth to my son on the 6th March. We waited about 5 weeks, but that was mainly because I had stitches (from a slight tear) and was a bit nervous about how it would be. We would definitely have done it sooner if I hadn't had stitches. I think if your lochea is finished and you feel good then you should go for it :)
