my 3mnth old has been sleeping through since he was bout 6wks..he goes down around 7pm after a feed..sometimes awake, sometimes asleep, then he wakes up anywhere between 8-10am...and sleeps heaps during the day...i worry about him sleeping too much but have been told its fine as long as he's alert and happy and responsive when he is awake!! i think its all about the routine....that and getting lucky :)

My son was born 3/4, and started sleeping through at the end of April. He's just a good night sleeper, he doesn't sleep a lot during the day. By 7:30 or so he is ready to go to sleep and usually wakes sometime between 6 and 7.

When my son first started sleeping long stretches he would wake up around 3-4am and I would feed him. I noticed he was taking maybe 2-3oz before falling back to sleep. So after about a week of doing that he had his 2mth checkup and the doctor gave me this article on sleeping and in it it said to try to offer a pacifier or hugs before a feeding so the baby gets used to being fed during the day. So that first night when he cried around 4am I gave him his pacifer and he fell right back to sleep and he hasnt needed a bottle since. I would just try to give her the pacifer and see if she falls back to sleep. If she doesnt then feed her. I know I can tell the difference between my son's cries he doesn't cry at all really unless he NEEDS his bottle right then and there so at night when he happens to wake its a fussy sound he makes which means he needs his pacifer.

I always try the paci and shushing before I pick her up. If she refuses to take it or spits it out more then once I nurse her. Some nights she goes right back to sleep while other nights she wants to eat, I find no rhyme or reason to it.

For those of you who give your baby a pacifier in the middle of the night...how did you now they needed a pacifier vs being hungry!? I don't have the guts to try just giving her a pacifier, haha!

My daughter is 12 weeks and she has been sleeping through the night for over a month. At first she would sleep 4-5 hrs straight but now, she will sleep 10-12 hrs in her crib. Sometimes I have to get up and give her a paci but she always falls right back to sleep. I usually feed her and then put her in the swing until she falls asleep. Then I transfer her to the crib. She wakes a little but then goes right back to sleep after she is in her crib a few minutes. We play an ocean cd on repeat all night long and she lies on a sleep positioner that has a heartbeat rhythm if she moves or cries. I strongly believe in the ocean cd - go get one b/c its worth every penny and then some!

Our baby born 3/4 slept through the night the 2nd week and continued up until she was about 11 weeks. When I say sleeping through the night I mean going down around 9pm and sleeping until 4 or 5 am. However in the last 3 weeks she has reverted to going down between 8 and 9pm and getting up at 1, 3, and 6am. The pediatrician still says that her sleeping is wonderful, but I am getting frustrated getting up so many times. This week we have begun helping her put herself to bed in hopes that she can learn to soothe herself if she wakes up at night.

My daughter has been sleeping through since 3 weeks when I finally felt confident enough not to wake her! She's only woken once since then and that was when sleeping in her travel cot for the 1st time. She goes down at 9.30 and wakes at around 7am. She's breast fed too so I don't know what I did to deserve this! Just damn lucky I guess!

My son was born 3/6 and he started sleeping until 4am the last week of April and the first week of May he no longer required the 4am feeding. He takes a bath around 6:30-6:45pm then gets a bottle around 7-7:15pm and sometime between 8-8:30pm I lay him in his crib and he wakes up around 6:30am...sometimes a bit sooner and even later. He takes cat naps all day. He will only nap for a 45mins about 4xms a day and he just takes 5oz bottles. Except at 7pm feeding I give him 6oz. He hasnt started cereal yet either. My 2nd daughter slept through the night at about 2mths old as well.

My son, 12 weeks, sleeps through most nights. The best thing we did for him was instituted a bed time and routine just before. Beginning at 8pm he gets all of his playing/energy out (we dont finish dinner until 8ish bc my hubby doesnt get home until 7:30ish most night. at 8:30 he gets a diaper change and bottle. Gets rocked until 9-9:10 then its bed time. He may still wake up once in the night, we just give him his paci and hes back asleep until 7ish.

My baby is sleeping through the night, but within the last week, she started to get her days and nights confused. She had her second round of shots last week, and that threw her off of her sleep schedule. I hope she gets back on track soon. Does anyone know how I can fix this??

Mine was born 3/24 - She is sleeping through the night some nights and not others. We try to keep her up more during the day so that she is more inclined to sleep at night. Sometimes it works...sometimes it doesn't.
