my son is 18months approaching 19months and sometimes he is reaching into his pampers to play with his penis and each this happens he has an erection! he plays with it as well when i take off his pamper to take a bathe as well and again gets an erection is this normal or should i be worried?

It's normal. My little boy is 19 months old and plays with it when I take the nappy off. I guess he is checking that it is still attached!

its so normal .. my oldest sits there watching TV playing with himself ( he is 2.5) and my youngest loves it he said to me the other day WHOOAAA its growing heheh he is just 19 months .. it feels good to them and its natural .. I used it as a great time to explain personal space and appropriate PUBLIC behaviors.
I tell them that your doodle and your bumbum's is your own and no body is to touch it ! and I explain mummys boobs bumbums and vagina is my own space and its private so we don't touch it.
we babysit a little girl sometimes and Ewan my youngest saw me changing her nappy and he said OH NO WHERES DOODLES? it was so cute I explained girls don't have doodles and he just nodded his head.. does he fully understand no and will I have to tell them over and over again about personal and private parts yes but its worth talking honestly to them about these things now.. no lies no silly names
My two have never done this in public or in other people presences at home Im sure they will one day and I will need to address it. but for now they seem to know its a private thing and when they are entertained by other people don't feel the need to play with there bits

Yup...boys like their pee pees! Mine goes for it every time his diaper comes off, EVERY time! Its' normal...comedians make jokes about it! Erections are normal and healthy...its alright Mom!!
