My daughter got her 4th Prevanar shot to day and she was fine for about 2 hours afterwards. When she woke up from her nap she said that her leg hurt and now she wont walk on it or put any pressure on it. Has this happened to anyone else?

I don(t have this experience because I give very few vaccinations, I'm not a fan. If you have a good homeopathic doctor in your neighboorhood, please consult him and ask for homeopathic support when you give vaccinations! Very important!!

I work for a dr and I give vaccinations on a daily basis. It is normal for them to have tenderness and any site where the shot was given. My son was very sore too for a few days after his shots. Was there a lot of swelling, hives, fevers, rash, uncontrollable crying? Those are adverse reactions to look for. It sounds like a normal reaction to me, but I would call your dr office ASAP if you are very concerned about her. Good look. Prevnar is the shot to help prevent pneumonia.

Ok just had to look it up. Duh. No it may just be really sore, but I would still put in a call to the doc.

I would call her doctor. Is the site red at all? I am not familiar with that shot.....
