My boy is almost 14 months and is still just standing and experimenting with furniture, us and his crib. We are in no hurry for him to walk and know he will when he is ready and I know that this is pretty normal developmentally.

I read that most childern don't start walking until 15 months my first two boys started at 14 months on thier own but my third one started at 11 months. It will happen I suggest not to be in a hurry.

My son started walking at 9 1/2months, but its not uncommon for babies to start later. Most babies start walking around 13-15months. Buy her a stroller or something she can push around, she'll take her steps when she is ready. You can't rush it, they won't do it until they are comfortable. Thats what I noticed about my son, he took his first steps at 9 months and then didn't do it at all for 2 weeks. She'll let you know when she's ready, don't worry.

My daughter, who is now four, didn't start walking until she was 15 months old. My son, now 13 months, started walking at 11 months. However, my daughter started talking in sentences at 11 months and my son still only says a few words. Kids do things at their own pace, when it's right for them.

My lil man was a late crawler, and I thought for sure he wouldn't be walking by a year old...but alas, he is standing on his own 2 feet at 13mo. My daughter on the other hand, lil man's mother, did not walk until almost 15 mo old. I have this personal feeling that walkers prohibit their growth in walking and the more space and time (and help) to develop on their own, they will.

my boy started walking 2 weeks after his 1st bday. But he took his first steps month and a half earlier! He never really crawled that good so I guess that is why he started to walk so he can get to things faster than crawling...

Hazel started walking in fits and spurts a few weeks ago, but it really took off last week. But there's a kid in my PEPS group who is not walking yet and is the same age, and last time I heard wasn't crawling yet, either. The range is really big!

My first son walked at 10months and my 2nd son at 10.5months. Every child is unique. Yours will surely walk. You can only be worried when she is over 24months, then you will need to see your paediatrician.

Mine started walking at 10mo but she took a long time to crawl. I think every baby is different and you just give them time, they will eventually get it!

My son started taking "steps" by himself a week before his 1st birthday, the day after his 1st birthday it was like he knew he was a big boy and stated walking 90% of the time. But like others have said different children start walking at different ages. If your concerned talk to your pediactric.

I think it does have alot to do with how motivated they are. My son walked right before his first birthday and he was standing up to furniture at like 5 months started walking around things. But my daughter on the other hand is 13 months old and won't walk without holding on to anything. She didn't even want to crawl til she was 9 months almost 10. It all depends on when they are ready and want to.

12-15 months if they crawl is normal, but if the bum shuffle then your looking at around 18months, maybe more. Mines a bum shuffler, and is 13months now and still not up on her feet.

9 months. He started walking Thanksgiving week! My first son started just before his 1st birthday.

I wouldn't worry much until your doctor starts to worry. Does your child cruise around the furniture? If so, walking is just around the corner.

I have two boys. My oldest (Donovan) will be 7 this summer. He's very active, too smart for his own good, and well mannered :) He was a slow walker though. He didn't really even try until he was 14months old. My youngest (Jack) turned 1 in March, and he's been walking since he was 10 months old. He was born a week early, he was crawling at 4 months, pulling up to stand at 6 months...no I'm not kidding!! And, walking at 10 months. Now, he's running. They all do things at different times. I think the younger kids do things a bit quicker because they want to keep up with the older siblings.

My first two could pull themselves up by ten months and started walking right after their first birthday. My littlest is 13 months and just started crawling as he turned one. He can't even stand himself up and I don't think he will be walking for a while, but man can he crawl fast! :)

My son Alfie is 13 months old and is still not walking, he has been pulling himself up and cruising for about 5 months and lets go and stands on his own and has just started to get up by himself without holding onto anything, but still not walking. I wouldn't worry, all gorgeous babies are different which I;m sure everyone has told you.

It's not a big deal if she isn't walking yet... they all go at their own pace... and it's not necessarily a bad thing either because once they start walking, they get into EVERYTHING! Lol. Bella started walking at about 10 1/2 months.

My daughter was 11 months.. my son on the other hand.. is now 13 months and a week.. not interested. I think it's because older sister (now 2.5 years old) pushes him over.. he can walk.. I've seen it.. but only maybe 5 steps at a time.. I'm hoping he walks before May 1st.. not sure if the daycare he's supposed to attend will take him if he isn't walking yet.

My daughter Miya started walking exactly 2 weeks before her first birthday../you just have to look out for the signs that she's ready and then encourage her...stand her up in the middle of the room, kneel like a foot or two away with maybe her fav toy and coax her to you....

My son started walking at 11 months (he's 13 months now) but my daughter (who is 3 now) didn't start walking until just about 14 months. She started talking really early...seems as though she was concentrating more on that than walking lol And my son is the opposite.
