My Son had conjunctivius a week ago then got a high fever 39.6 for a few days finally back to normal yesterday. Now he seems to have got another fever 38.6. Do you think it could be his teeth? Any advise please?

If the fever lasts more than a few days its not due to teething, my daughter has had a fever the past 6 days she has a viral infection that turned into a nose infection. She is coughing, runny nose, fever. The best thing would be to take him to his pediatrician, last time my daughter had a high fever she had a febreal seizure so I make sure I take her to her doc, in order to reduce the fever get 3 wash clothes, wrap a zip lock bag of ice or just wet the towel and put 1 behind the neck and under the arm pits this will help reduce the fever.

my little one gets high temperatures when teething and croup. I think f it happens agian and you are concern see your doctor it relaxes you and you then know it is teething

if they are teething they may pull at ears or rub them. My son had to get tubs at 10 months. Ear infection straight from October till January.

You can give a homeopathic remedy with belladonna...just be sure the dosage is for infants (there is a difference in dose when the child is 5).

Have had his ears checked, or he could be teething, too!!! Hope this helps

I'm not sure if you can get that exact brand but anything that has the main ingredient of Acetaminophen will work. Just make sure its for babies. The best way to tell if it is their ears is if he is pulling at them alot or rubbing that side of his head. Plus if its an ear infection some times there ears will be red and warm. Like a fever. I hope that helps.

If its his ears, he'll probably pull on them a lot or they'll be red on the inside when you look at them

If it's his ears he might be pulling on them more then usual. If he seems to cry more when you lay him down could be a sign, too. The pressure in the ears is worse when you lay them down. Though, my oldest just had a sinus infection, which I thought was an earache because he said it hurt when he swallowed. The doctor didn't see infection in his ear. He did run a fever off and on, too.

My daughters spikes fevers with cutting her teeth. She'll be fine one minute and the next have a high fever, runny nose and cold-like symptoms. I'm no doctor though. I would take him in again for a re-check.

Thank you its just concerning as I thought he had got better then he suddenly got a temperature again after 2 days. The few days it was 39.4 then yesterday was 38.6. Also the 9 teeth he has never bothered him so I was guessing this could be it and he has got a runny nose now so I hope your right. As I work full time I feel bad for the Lady that looks after him as he is always struck down with something when with her.

Chelsey can I get Tylenol here in UK?

How would I no if its his ears?

probably teeth. my daughter has had cold like symptoms for three weeks now, and all of a sudden another tooth popped thru and her "cold" went away. i alternate between tylenol and motrin if she has a fever or is in pain.

It could be that he is cutting teeth. My doctor said that with low fevers you can use Tylenol to make him comfortable but that fevers are good things. Its a bodys way of fighting off infection. It could also be a ear ache.
