At his 9month he was 23lbs and 31 inches tall. As long as she is doing well on her own curve, meaning, has not lost weight everything is fine. Each child follows their own curve, you can't go by what other kids weigh. It is what is normal for her.

As long as your baby is happy and healthy, and on time with her mental and motor development, you should not worry. I know it's easy to compare your baby to others but every baby is different... it can't hurt to offer her more food frequently. If she's not interested, maybe make a colorful variety of food in her plate.

By the way, my baby was last weighed on his 9-month check up and he was 28lbs 13 oz and 28.5 long. So I don't how much he weighs now.

Good luck with you lil one.

I think it all varies. My daughter at her 9 mo checkup with 30 inches and only 17.5lbs. She was tall and skinny but the doctor wasn't worried since she was healthy and growing. She's on solids and breast milk.

my daughter was 10 weeks early, so at 10 months she weighed about 15 pounds... being born at only 3 pounds... my son is 9 months old and he weighs 20 pounds.... my neice is 4 months and she weighs 13 pounds. I think honestly, 15 pounds is underweight. But it can depend on how big or small you and her father is, and what she was born at....

Ryiah is 9 1/2 months and weighs 16lbs 13oz. She is 26in. Doc said she is fine. Just a petite girl! If she's eating well and pottying regularly I'm sure she is great! Cross your fingers she stays petite her whole life! Nothing is wrong with that!

She has gone from the 70th percentil to the 40th for height and 75th to the 35th for her weight. Almost 1 and still in size two diapers

My son weighs 26 lbs and is 30" long. Doc said he could miss a few meals lol. What are you feeding your daughter??? Feed her table foods like some mashed potatos and rice and stuff. (If you aren't already) I wouldn't worry too much tho every baby is different.

My daughter at her last appt. A month ago was 18 pounds and my dr. Said she should look underweight but she looks healthy so I guess it depends on the baby. She eats good! She has her cereal with fruit every morning and a 4 oz. Bottle after and then she has another bottle in a couple hours and then veggies for lunch and another bottle then after a couple hours another bottle then fruit for a snack then another bottle after a couple hours then she has dinner at 5 and another bottle but in between she snacks. So she eats good. But I wouldn't worry they know when they're full so feed ur baby till she's full. Jazlene eats every 2 hours.

My 10 month old weighs 20lb 80z. Which is a little heavier than the 'average' but the average is just a guidline, as long as your baby is gaining weight and has a healthy appetite then there is no need to worry :)

My daughter will be 10 months on 26th of January, she was weighed last week and was 9.1kg (20lbs), she is 71cms tall. My friends little boy is 2 weeks older and weighs 23lbs, they are all different, it also depends on how tall etc you and her father are, if you two are only small then she will also be small. As long as she is eating, getting enough milk and all her vitamins etc then I'm sure she will be fine. Hope this helps.

23.8lbs. but weight has nothing on the nutrition your child is getting. Everyone uses calories in different ways. If she's on the right track as far as eating goes, then don't worry. But you shouldn't try to "fatten" her up. Let her take her own time. Be thankful she's not heavier. It hurts your hip and arms after awhile.

My daughter was 16 lbs 13oz at her 9 month check up two weeks ago. She's in the 14% for weight. She was 6 lb 13oz when she was born. Our doctor isn't worried because neither her dad nor i are that big. Bella also has been walking for 6 weeks now, so her weight gain is going to slow down dramatically. He said he'll be more concerned when it's time to change to a forward facing car seat. MI state law says a child must be at least 1 yr and 20 lbs. we are hoping she'll be 20 lbs by 15 months, cuz she's already too tall for her infant car seat.

My 9 1/2 month old weighed 16 lb 7 oz at her last checkup. She's always been in the 25th percentile, and her pediatrician is pleased. However, she sees a gastroenterologist/ child nutritionist every 8 weeks, and in that 8 week span she only gained 1 pound total. He was very concerned. It's not just that every baby is different, every pediatrician is different too!!

Quoting Helen:

At 41 wks my son weighs 22lbs, I was getting worried as other mothers were looking at him and saying "OMG, he's huge!", I was getting a bit of a complex.

At his recent 9 month check-up, I voiced my concerns to his Dr. and he assured me he is fine, the Dr. told me my son is in the 75th percentile and he would need to be 25lbs or more to be considered "obese".

my son is 43 weeks and weighs 25.4 and 30.5 he is far from obese. he is in the 95th percentile for weight, height, and head circ. the doc said he is perfectly healthy and an all around big boy. everyones weight and height differs, even as adults. as long is your child is getting nourished properly, don't worry about it.

There are a lot of posts about boys' weights on the posts. It's very difficult to compare boys and girls at the same age since boys tend to be larger. If you haven't already checked your daughter's percentile to other girls, you ought to do that. Doing so may put your mind at rest some. One rule of thumb to remember is that as long as your baby is maintaining/growing at her own rate (percentile), she's probably fine. Your doctor may be concerned that she is dropping below her own percentile, and that of course would cause him to suggest that she is underweight.
My daughter was always a small baby (consistently at the 25th PR), but my 10 month old son is much different. He has been between the 50th and 75th PR since he was born (currently weighs 21 pounds).

Trust your mommy instinct, but also heed the doctor's advice.

Try not to compare your baby to other babies. It's more important to compare her weight to her previous weights. As long as she is staying on the same growth curve she is probably healthy. My daughter dropped about 10 % points (from 25% - 13%) and the doctors didn't even care. My guess is that there is a range of normal.

To answer your original question, though, at her 9 month WBV she weighed the exact same amount. I have no idea how much she weighs now, but probably not much more than that.
