My little guy is 7 weeks and 2 days and still hasn't smiled for me. I thought that he would have smiled by now, I've read that some babies smile as early as 4 weeks. Am I just being impatient or is anyone else experiencing the same situation?

Don't worry, my little guy smiled at 4 weeks and then I didn't see another smile until about 6 weeks and it took him a couple more weeks to give them to me consistently...and now they come all the time and he laughs too, not that frequently yet (he's a little over 4 months)...he'll give them to you when he's ready! It's nothing you can control really lol...

My little girl is 10 weeks and still now smile for us. She has smiled a couple times but hardly nothing. She had a hard first few weeks and the dr. said she would be a little behing other kids her age. It will happen soon though.

Mine just started smiling around 5 weeks, he turned 8 weeks yesterday. Don't give up hope, your little one will smile for you soon enough, just give it time :)

my son has been smiling for a few weeks now, but some moms in another community board I frequent have3 yet to see thier babes smile...it all happens at different time for different babies.

My baby is 8 weeks and 2 days and has been smiling for at least a week now. Every baby is different tho so don't get discouraged. He will do it when he wants and it will light up your world : ) Good luck and he should be smiling here shortly!!
