my son has been so fussy latly and that is not like him he has a scratchy voice when he talks or cries a dry cough and puffy eyes I took him to the dr and they said it was a cold because babies his age dont get allergies...I thinkit is the allergies...any other ideas??

thank you all for ur imput we see our ped on the 12th so i will ask him then too but he seems to be doing a little better.

He was really congested too. I actually put him to sleep in his swing so he could breath better.

Renee did he have just have cough or was he congested too? Sounded like hard to breathe but not snot - more in lungs? I see my ped soon but just wondering.

My son who is now 2 was that way too and I thought it was allergies as well. My ped told me the same thing. It turned out he was actually starting to cut teeth.

My son have some symptoms of asthma before he turn to 2 months. if we turn the AC below 26 Celsius he will get an asthma. but after he gain enough weight it's not problem anymore (my son is 15lbs now, 7lbs when he was born). My pediatric said that if the parents have some allergic (to anything, i have allergic to seafood in fact) it can cause an allergic to their children, but not necessary to the same object.

I think my son has allergies (for last month) and he just turned 3 months as he is usually congested and has a cough. And seems worse when we are at the farm or on grass too long I don't see my ped til the 6th - but I think they can have allergies this young.
