I always feel bad wanting to know, because let's face it, most moms gain. Some poor moms even swell up like balloons and suffer. I am uncomfortable as all hell right now, so I can't imagine your pain.

I however, am NOT gaining. Got preggo June 9th, at 150lbs. Took about a month for it to drop to 135, and now I flux between 130 and 135. I eat like a porker, all day everyday. But I am just not gaining. I am still in 4's and 5's and finding maternity clothes is impossible. (i just slunk regular pants under my bump and/or let it hang out, it's a baby, it's beautiful! LoL) but why don't i gain? how can i get bigger without weighing more? It freaks me out! anyone else NOT getting huge?

With my first pregnancy I gained about 4 lbs but I delivered at 32 and 5/7 due to HELLP syndrome and I was all puffy. This time, I've just made it past the same mark with no puffiness, and again, very little weight gain. Just had an ultrasound, baby weighs in at 4lbs 4oz and I've only gained about 4. Some days I feel like I should have put more on and others I think about how thankful I will be when I deliver and have less pregnancy weight to lose. My doctor's aren't worried at all, so as long as you are feeling good, baby is doing good, it's all good!

I did the same thing.. I started off at 150 and lost weight in the beginning. Then I would gain a pound but next visit lose 7 or so. I ended up my entire pregnancy gaining like 10-15 pounds. (And I only gained that the last month or so).. then I had a c-section on Dec 23rd. And I went in for my post opt appointment and I lost 32 pounds. But on the negative side.. I do have a few stretch marks but I weight less now then I did before I was pregnant. Its weird and everyone is different. Be happy.. a lot of woman get huge!

I am 33 weeks and I have lost weight. I am overweight anyway so the Dr said this could happen. Still does not make me feel good. I just want to take care of my baby. This is the first one for me.

I lost some weight in my 1st trimester due to nausea and unhealthy eating habits. Now, I am back to where I started but have not gained any "extra" weight. I am just now starting to really show and I'm 7 months! My midwife is totally okay with this since and says the baby is growing fine and since I'm eating well now I am probably losing my fat as the baby gains his. I can't wait to see how much I lose after I deliver... :)

I lost about 10 lbs up until I was 29 weeks. At the 29 week checkup I had finally gained 4 lbs. My Dr doesn't seem worried. Are you constantly throwing up? Are you eating properly? Are you taking your prenatal vitamin? If you are doing all you can to keep up your health & baby is measuring correctly during ultrasounds you shouldn't worry. Also I was in pre-preg clothes until 1/2 way through last mo. I just went from normal not looking preg to BAM quite preg looking.

This is my second baby and I have gained but not huge amounts of weight. I eat when my body tells me I need to eat but unlike my first pregnancy where I ate whatever, whenever, however! this time I eat sensibly and mostly healthy and balanced meals. I feel like I look great pregnant this time round.. no extra baggage and deffinitely all baby. Other than watching what I eat and the portions that I eat I've done nothing differently this pregnancy and apparently I'm looking at another 8 - 9 pound baby. So don't worry if your not gaining as long as you're not starving yourself, the Doctor says you're progressing well and the baby is healthy.. you'll just be one of the fortunate ones I guess!

yeah same story here. dropped about 40 lbs but the baby is growing fine, just getting smaller everywhere else. people have actually made nasty comments to me about not gaining weight and looking about 4 or 5 instead of the eight months i am. just keep your doctor in the loop. its weird because i eat allll the time too. yeah.

I am due march 5th and only gained 4 lbs. I weighed myself today and it seems I've lost a lb and a half. the dr is giving me an ultrasound next week to make sure the baby is growing like he should. I know how you feel, and I eat like a pig too so I don't know what the problem is. good luck!

I lost about 10lbs during my 1st trimester and only gained about 7 of that back during my 2nd trimester. Once I hit my 3rd trimester I started to gain weight on a regular basis. The only maternity clothes that I am wearing are pants. With a sweater on you can barely tell I am pregnant and I am currently 33 weeks along.
As only as your OB doesn't have an issue with your weight, go with it and be happy! I lost 90% of my pregnancy weight with my 1st, before I even left the hospital. Now with this one, the OB is actually is saying that my baby is "too small" for her gestational age and is getting another ultra sound to make sure she is developing properly.
Both my sisters gained A LOT of weight and got HUGE with their pregnancies and are not happy with me that I am staying so small and not getting a single stretch mark.

I know what you mean. I don't seem to be gaining but I do seem to be getting bigger. Strange but true. People can tell I'm pregnant but ask me where all the 'extra weight' it. Not everybody gains weight but in my 1st pregnant I was really unwell with severe pre-eclampsia and HELLP syndrome and was looking like a rather big beach whale because of the swelling.
