Bottle Warmers

For easy feeding and preparation at night I leave a bottle, water bottle and formula bed side. With it getting so cold the water ends up being freezing! I have looked at different bottle warmers and they all seem to have poor reviews due to being complicated, leaking and not heating thoroughly. I would love your personal opinions and recommendations on which brand you feel is best. Thank you!

we just leave the bottle with half the amount of water required in fridge then just boil kettle n add the rest so water is warm & then formula, perfect temp everytime, same when we go out for the day shopping just take the boiling water in a thermos & premeasured formula in lil containers so takes no more then 30sec to make a fresh bottle..never even heard of bottle warmers til just now they sound pretty cool tho :)

I've tried heating up the water before bed, and it still ends up really cold. He drinks room temp bottles during the day, and drinks room temp bottled water in his sippy. I just like the idea of a warm bottle for night time. The last thing I would want at 3:00 am is an ice cold glass of milk. It would hurt my tummy and wake me up going down. We bought a warmer and love it! Takes about 3 min to heat up, which sometimes feels like 20 min when we have a screaming baby at 3:00 am! But over all I'm glad I purchased it :) Thanks for all the advice.

for my 8 month old, we just fill up his bottles with the water and cap it then put the premeasured formula in during the night. so just a shake and hes ready. we ran into the same problem, and instead of buying a bottle warmer, we just heated his bottles before we went to sleep. that way they weren't ice cold when he would wake up. hope it helps.

I use a First Years bottle warmer. I keep one downstairs for when our 8-month-old is awake and I have one in our bathroom upstairs for the mornings. She sleeps through the night (since 2 months old!) but it's nice and convenient having it upstairs when she wakes up at 6:30 or 7, and our almost-3-year-old is still sleeping. (I happened to be able to get the second, upstairs one for free.) Yes, the water measurements are completely off, but once you figure them out for your bottles for how hot or cool (not cold, straight from the fridge) you want the bottle to be, then you're set. I only heat up a bottle with formula, which I have made previously and is kept in a container in the fridge. There is no way I will MAKE formula in the mornings, way too tired. I suggest you make a big batch and draw from there, and just warm up the bottles with the formula, otherwise, it seems to me it would be too much work for a potentially busy morning. For water-drinking, I use filtered room-temperature water. I don't even bother with warming it up. I'm slowly giving it to her cooler and cooler. But the First Years warmer works great. Been using both for about 6 months or so, and all is well. Good luck!!

start them with cool water and they'll be used to it, no need for bottle warmers!!! AT least that's worked for me for 4 babies! :)

The hospital offer bottles at room temp. I guess my house is around the same temp as yours maybe cooler at night. I have the window open even now in the winter. My baby drinks his bottle and goes straight back to sleep no prob. Honestly having a cooler botle doesn't hurt..lol. good luck with whatever you choose. XX

Room temp just seems too cold. We keep our house around 67 degrees. I don't want the cold bottle to wake him up, I would prefer a warm bottle that helps keep him asleep and soothe him.

My baby has his bottles at room temperature and therefore his bottles don't need warming. Much easier than having to fiddle around with warming up bottles in the early hours. I just measure the powder into the container and have the water in the bottle, then mix the two when required. Easy. Hope th9is is helpful.

my little guy sleeps through the night but he does get up for his first feeding sometimes as early as 5am. I haven't had to really warm bottles much for months now. Have you tried giving it to him cold?

The BEST EVER bottle warmer is the new Dr. Browns one! It has a water resevior! No more little dibs and dabs of water each time to try and guess how much to put in! You set a timer...it heats for that amount of time...it's fabulous. I love love love it.

He started sleeping through the night at 2 months and stopped at 4 months. He wakes up anywhere from 2-3 times to eat, and I've tried just putting him back to bed, but he is adamit about eating. Plus my husband and I plan on having many more children and plan to start trying in January, so it won't be a ''bad investment''. We went and bought the first years Baby Pro Warmer and it seems to work pretty well, I first used a Playtex Vent Air Wide bottle in it and it didn't heat it up to my liking but it was better than it was before.

I loved our bottle warmer! 1st years...the water measurements were inaccurate but I winged it! We dont use it anymore because our guy is sleeping through the night and just found it easier and quicker to wake up and make it in the mornings! Honestly...just my opinion...at this age she should be eating in the middle of the night to much longer if not even now so is it worth spending the money?
Does your baby still feed in the middle of the night?

I use the playtex drop ins and the microwave can cause them to burst. I want a warmer bed side so I don't have to turn on lights and wake my baby up fully.

i use the microwave to warm up my baby's bottles . I put the water in the bottle and warm it up first, then add the formula.
