I had a C-Section with my 8lb 10oz Son. B/C he was comming down sunny side up and Simply would not fit. He is 6 Mo. Old and i still have pain on my incision site. Dr says it is normal. Any other moms out there experience numbness sensitivity still after c-section?

i had a c- sec 7 months ago now, and it is still very tender when it is pushed on (hard), but i don't have numbness, and it doesn't ever itch.

to answer this yes i had a c section for my son who was 8 lbs 1 oz at birth and sunny side up. i still have numbness and itchiness sometimes it hurts more when my son steps or kicks me when standing but for the most part i usually forget about it. i asked my aunt who has had 2 c sections and the numbness is because of the docs cutting into the nerves in the stomach area.

I had a c-section with my first (he was breech). I didn't have pain but up until about 6-8 months post-partum, I had numbness on my incision site. It is totally normal... it's major surgery and they not only cut into the abdomen, but the uterus as well. All I can say, though, is fortunately I was able to successfully have a VBAC the second time around.

Yep, six months later and I'm still numb at the incision site. And it itches like crazy at times but thankfully no pain. Mine looks like its bruised still at times.

I do. My incision still hurts and is numb around the area. Its getting better but very slowly. My grandmother had a hysterectomy 18 years ago and still has numbness around the incision.

Wow, I am glad you posted that! I thought maybe i was nuts because i had never heard anyone complain of it before! Yes, i have numbness too, although sometimes it seems like my whole abdomen is numb, and once in a while i get a real bad burning pain sensation at the incision site. Good to know its not just my immagination or something!

My son is 6 months old and I find too that my incision site is still very sensitive to the touch and my lower abdomin is completely numb. I don't have a lot of pain though, just mostly sensitivity...

seems that the common opinion on this matter is "yes", me too... I also get crazy itchiness too at times, where I feel like I want to just cut the incision right out... ouch! but I just slap some calimine lotion on it and that goes away after a little bit...

I just really really really wish that it would stop being uncomfortable, especially since my son likes to stand on my tummy (ouch, when I get kicked!!!)

I feel bad for saying this but I have no pain at all... it doesn't itch, or anything, usually I forget it's even there. I do have a LOT of numbness around my whole lower belly so it feels weird sometimes when something touches it, but honestly I haven't had any pain since five or six weeks post-delivery...

Hi. I've been feeling the exact same way. I still experience numbness, itchiness and regular discomfort. My son turns six months on Sunday and I had thought I would have felt better by now.

Mine still hurts but only after exercise and it is still numb but only ON the incision. I wish it healed faster so I could get preg again soon.

i had my son 6 mths ago also & my c-section scar still hurts to this day! It is def still numb when i touch it & def very sensitive to the touch. My dr said that as long as it is healing ok, that the pain & numbness is normal.

But if it helps i have used a little "beard trimmer" haha that you can buy at store for like 5 bucks its less scary than taking a razor over that incision!

gIRL I HAVE HAD 3 c-section and my doc says i might never gain the feeling back like before i had the c-sections and my oldest is 5 and my youngest is 6 months. At time when i am really working out hardcore i still have pain and discomfort that i have had to learn to deal with. The doc says is complety normal. My doc laso told me that it really take 3 years to actually fully recover from a c-section!

YES!!!...I had a c-section with my 9lb son bc they thought he was breech and bigger than he actually was...He just turned 6 months and like Shaunna, I still have pain around my incision and itchiness...I still find that jeans irritate it so I cant wear them for long and I have a lot of numbness there too.

YES!! My incision still itches, gets sore, and my stomach also frequently bloats up and get really uncomfortable around the incision sight. I have known many women to have a great recovery from a c-section, but I don't feel like one of them! :( I know it's all normal, but it doesn't mean it doesn't suck! I have heard it takes up to a year for a c-section to start feeling fully normal again. Bleck!
