My LO got his first tooth out of no where on sunday (oct 11)... he woke up with swollen gums.. we went to a wedding and i put my finger in his mouth and low and behold a tooth was there.. he never cried once haha.
that night we had him playing on the floor and he just started crawling... he's been scooting for about 2 weeks but he just took off all the way across teh floor... then the next night , I put him in his crib (he was still in the top level of the crib mattress for little babies) and he used the bar and stood up in his crib.. eek!

we had to lower the crib right away..now he's in the big-boy lowest level in his crib.

any other babies out there crawling and pulling up??? is my LO going too fast???

He's now crawling like crazy, I'm having a hard time keeping up with him... ideas??? we haven't started baby proofing much because we honestly didn't expect him to be this quick...

Emma was born on March 21st and started scooting around. Constantly getting into crawl position but so far her leg is in the way. Once she gets it I am breaking out that playpen so she is safe. It is good for them to crawl and play.

You're fine! Every baby is different and will progress at their own speed. My son (March 12th) has been crawling for a few weeks and pulling himself to standing as well as shimmying across furniture. He got his first tooth at 4 1/2 months and now has 7 but I have a friend whose daughter has a few less teeth but she has been standing much longer.
I went out and purchased a lot of toys for his play area and I throw them on the floor so that when he crawls he is always crawling toward a toy (not an outlet) and it seems to be working well for him.

My little Doll (march 5 baby) started pulling herself up about 2 months ago and fully mastered it in late Sept. That same week she started crawling like a little spider. Shes super quick. Now shes into using the walls to get her places along with her speedy crawl. my trouble is.....ouch, she is so determined and doesnt mind bumping her head HARD at all just to make it to her destination. OUCH!! lol. i expect her to start walking very soon. No getting in her way ;}

Funny you said you had to move the bed down, we had to do the samething. She just loves standing in her bed now that its lower.
What me and my husband do is tell our LO what she can play with and what her boundaries are. when we tell her she cant touch something are go in a certain area we explain why. All in the same tone of voice we normally talk to her in. believe it or not, it works! We haven't baby proofed anything, she pretty much knows what she get away with and cant. ( old school teaching from my great grandmother..."dont move anything thats suppose to goes somewhere i.e picture frames, decoration etc." its working great for us. My mother-in-law thought it was crazy but she sees how well it works for our LO and applauds us.

No he's not growing to fast... I wish my little one was just on the first crawl, first pulling up stage... has your LO started the bouncing (jumping) in bed yet... if not get your cam (video that is) ready - it is hillarious... I think my son is trying to break his crib and playpen with as much and how hard he jumps - as for the keeping up of him.... lol.... yeah.. I am hoping to hear responces on that one... especially since my LO is close to walking :)

My little guy is trying to pull himself up on everything! Chairs, legs, couch, tv stand. He also likes to go from our couch to our loveseat. They are only about a foot apart (just under his wingspan.) He thinks he's so big and gets angry when he can't get himself up on something. Good luck baby proofing. I still have to go around and pick up all my 5 year olds toys...stupid barbie shoes, polly pockets, and little nick nacks.
