Quoting Becky:

I am 16 weeks..... I just went to the doc today and found out I've gained 12 lbs since I found out i was preggers. Doc said that that is a healthy weight gain..

is 12lbs good weight gain at the end of my 4th month? it feels like a lot... i dont have any extra fat....my face looked chubby in my first 3 months, but now it has completely thinned out again.... my tummy is getting big but it is hard not chubby or anything..

do you think Im doign okay?

I think so because my doc says i am ok and I'm almost 19 weeks and have gained about 13 lb but i barely have a bump. Mine is hard as well. it depends on ur weight when u became prego. for me a can expect to gain 25 - 30 lb by my due date.

I am at about 19 weeks. I have lost 10 pounds so far. I am a tad bit on the larger side, so the doc hasn't said anything about my weight loss. I think it is a combination of eatin better and not drinkin beer. The baby is growin and doin fine. I can tell that my tummy is startin to fill out , but I am still in "my jeans". If i break even on weight with a healthy baby, I am not gonna complain.

With my first I lost 5 pounds in the first trimester and didn't really start gaining any weight until I was about 22 weeks and then I had a sudden jump of like 10 pounds in 2 weeks, I was horrified. This time I've only gained about 2 pounds so far and that was only in the last week. Like others said as long as the baby is growing it's no big deal. A midwife told me she's had women lose 20 pounds during their pregnancy and still have a 10 pound baby.

When I was pregnant with my daughter I started at 125 went down to 115 and then when she was born (6.5 weeks early) I was 135. The Dr's were constantly telling me that I needed to eat which I was but I wasn't gaining weight. So far I haven't stepped on the scale with this pregnancy to see where I am at weight wise. I don't obsess about my weight though. I have always been skinny and underweight. I figure as long as the baby is growing & the Dr's tell me everything looks good, then my weight should be the last thing I worry about.

I've lost and gained and lost again this pregnancy. I'm showing just like I did with my daughter but I'm basically at 0 on weight gain right now. I'm not worried about it though because the baby is doing great and I know the pounds will come.

Hm I don't know. This is my first baby, i'm a little over 4 months and have only gained 3 lbs. I would say as long as the baby is healthy and growing well, then be thankful you haven't gained much yet! :)
