Why do people think that a pregnant woman wants to hear about how large she is?? Trust me I know....I can't even see my toes!

I find this interesting becasue I actually had the opisite problem. people didnt relize how prego I actually was. I was at Walmart on my due date and the cashier was like oh so when are you due??? I respond, oh today. I think she almost fainted. All winter I got your not that big comments, (I work at a hotel) butI felt HUGE and I gined 40 lbs. for a person my size I was suprised how well I hid 40 lbs from everyone. but luckly it was all baby and water, so now 3 weeks later I am just about back to normal. only problem is my hips have widened just enough to not let me fit into my jeans... guess I have to go shopping.

People don't seem to know how to use tact. My own mother would grab my belly and say,"YOU'RE SO BIG!! THEY HAD TO HAVE GOTTEN YOUR DUE DATE WRONG!!" Thanks mom. I fortunately didn't gain much weight this pregnancy, so I was basically all baby. But my son was born last week and I am feeling bigger than when pregnant. At least a big pregnant belly is cute

I'm not offended at all. Today, I was in the grocery and someone said, "whoa, when are you due?!" I smiled & said Monday, and she said, "Wow!" I just laughed because I seriously feel like I'm going to explode!

i'm exactly the same and the first thing most people say to me is omg you're massive. well all i can say is the next person that comments about it just respond in gest with 'im giving birth and losing my weight you'll be ugly forever' lol. makes people think about what they're saying. dont let it get you down too much good luck x

Im 38 wks and have ben feeling big for a lil while now, parnoid im bigger than any other pregnant woman, my m/w says no! Im the right size but it is from other ppl's comments that we get self-consious, I think they're either Jealous or trying to be cynical, wat ever happened to ppl saying you look so beautiful and your just glowing you suit being pregnant, just say something back to them just as rude like well at least i'll be having my baby soon wat's your excuse?

I know...it's especially annoying when the person is a woman that has NEVER been pregnant. I'd like to see how they'd be pregnant and comment!

yup, im 38 weeks have been told wow you MUST be carrying twins since about 28weeks (im not) got told the other day im the size of an elephant, telling any woman shes big is bad enough let alone telling a pregnant woman whos already aware of the wight gain and hormones running wild and antispation of a new born first or not is just insane and i dont understand y people dont have more consideration for the way we feel, we are doin one of the hardest jobs carrying a child we should be made to feel like queens, im lucky i have the most supporting fiance i could have ever asked for hope you have the same :)

I know the feeling, my goodness if I got just a penny for every time somebody has said 'you're huge' or 'are you sure you aren't having twins' then I'd be a millionaire believe me. It's ridiculous though, kick us whilst we're down lol .... or huge!

I've had my tummy awww'ed at the entire pregnancy but just this week everyones like 'you've popped.. you're all out there' and it makes me feel pretty good to know because I can't tell, obviously, I've felt the same for last 8 months. I'm due in 16 days and I'm currently 37 weeks + 5 days! =)
