Somehow one of my twin boys (just barely a year old) has ended up with Hand-Foot-and-Mouth disease. I'm hoping my other boy & my 2-year-old daughter don't get it too. If anyone else has had this, did your child end up with diarrhea too, and how long did the fever keep spiking? My son was 3 days without a fever, and he spiked again tonight.

my son had a severe case when he was about a year old. He would't have a fever for a few days then he would spike a high one. This lasted for about a week. We just tossed him in a cool bath to bring it down. The cool bath also helped with the blisters on his hands and feet. He also slept alot during the 2 weeks that he was sick.

Hi my daughter had it when she was just 2yrs. she had a really severe case. Her hands, feet, arms, legs & mouth were covered & i mean covered in blisters. she had a on off temp throughtout also. she wasnt really back 2 her old self 4 almost 2wks. which was short lived as she had 5 days of being well then went down hill again, being diagnosed with shingles which totally knocked her 4 6's 4 about 2mths bless her.

He only has 2 ulcers on the back of his throat; luckily there aren't any on his hands or feet. His first fever spiked at 105.1; then 104.5. Today's was 103.

My daughter only had a fever for one day and then the blisters on her hands and feet started to appear. She didnt have it very bad (I have heard others who get the blisters in their mouth as well which she didnt get) so it might be bit longer for you, but she was clear by about day 7 and i just kept her at home for another 4 days just to be sure. She did sleep alot though during that week, but no fever spikes like what you mentioned. Im probably not helping you here.
