Has anyones elses babies got awful pimples on their face?

My poor little man has so many on his face, head and back of his neck :o(

I've had him checked twice and they tell me there's nothing I can put on them. They don't seem to bother him at all but they really bother me! He's had them for nearly two weeks now and they don't seem to be getting better at all.

Does anyone know how long they usually last or if there is anything I can put on them?

my son would get very dry rough patches on his face when he was a baby. The dr gave me hydrocortisone cream and it helped clear it up. The pimples you can do anything really about, but you can with dry patches. Hope it helps.

Thanks for all great advice everyone :o)
I was already cleaning his face everyday, using a gentle laundry soap and natural baby wash and nothing seemed to be helping.
I started using aveeno baby and it worked from the moment i put it on! I used the lotion and the bath cream and they cleared up within the week! I love it and I wont use anything else now :o)
My health nurse had told me not to worry and that there was nothing I could do so I went back to her and told her about this cream so that she can suggest it to others, it's amazing and very gentle.
Good luck everyone and thanks again for the advice :o)

My grandson started to get them, I stop putting those baby lotions on him, I stopped giving him baths with that baby smell good stuff and switched to Aveno infant bath and Aveno lotion, and Johnson baby shampoo his skin has cleared up, and I wipe the baby face and hands at least twice a day.

Hi, My daughter had them -whatever you do dont pick or burst them, they bleed and will scar - a lot of other mums have all said the same as me - keep babys face clean with warm water and wash gently. Ella had hers on and off for months and she also had horrendous cradle cap. re getting rid of it in the scalp - try to avoid any shampoos etc for this as it just irritates the skin more - try dousing the scalp with sweet almond oil and combing it through - yes, its oily and messy but it lifts the muck out beautifully. a couple of washes with a mild soap and scent free baby shampoo will remove the oil.

my little girl hasnt had cradle cap, she did have "milk bumps" when she was born though, but when the pimples went away so did the milk bumps

YES!! my lil girl has them too in the same spots its been really worrying me. her doctor told me to put hydrocorticone cream on them three times a day for seven days. i just started it today and it already looks better. dose your lil man have cradle cap to by any chance cuz my doc said that the cradle cap will make them break out as well and for that i am using selsun blue moisturizing shampoo and then scrub her scalp with a soft brush and all that together is helping her face. hope that helped. even tho we have pimply babies they are still beautiful:)

MY DAUGHTER HAS THEM, THE DOCTOR CALLED IT CRADLE CAP AND HE SAYS ITS NORMAL. I HAD 2 CONTINUE 2 WASH HER FACE AND NECK W/WARM WATER AND THE REST OF HER BODY W/DOVE UNSCENTED SOAP. HE GAVE ME SOME HYDROCORTISONE OINTMENT, THERE IS ALSO CREME, BUT OINTMENT IS BETTER. WHEN IT STARTED DRYIN UP, IT TOOK ABOUT 2-3WKS. IT WAS SCARY BECAUSE I DIDNT EXPERIENCE IT W/MY FIRST DAUGHTER, BUT IT DOES GO AWAY.

As everyone else has said these "pimples" are perfectly normal. Our nurse told us it is due to the bacteria colonising their skin. All 5 of my children had them and it took different lengths of time for them to clear. It's hard because they look as though they could be painful and, lets admit it, it's pretty ugly. But they do just disappear on their own eventually.

My daughter has them too all over her face, she is 6 weeks old now. They are normal and will just go away over time. Don't pick them or attempt to pop them all you will do is leave scars on their face. Plus their skin is too sensitive to put any kind of medication on them. Just wipe face down with plain water daily and use baby soap at bath time. My son had them as well and it took over a month for them to clear up.

Boys will get them worse then baby girls will... So I have read. My son who is 4 weeks old got them around a week and a half years old. He got so much that his whole face was covered in them and like you it bothered me and not him. So I read stuff on the net about it. Wipe his face down everyday with a wet clothe (just water) and use a gentle soap for bath time. It took almost 2 weeks but it cleared up on my son. Out of my three boys my little guy got them the worse. I also read that it can take up to 4 months for them to go away which freaked me out the most. Good Luck hon!
