I started test running jar baby food to get my baby girl on to solids. The doc said it wouldn't hurt to start a little early. She is over 5 months, born March 17th so I trusted him with this but after I started she didn't poo for 2-3 days and I just hardly think that's normal since she is breatfed. And IT REALLY stinks. I have a 4 yr old that I went through this with but this didn't happen. Should I stop or what? Or take her back to the doc? She finally pooed a little last night but not much.

What I do is give my boy some pear puree after his tea and it helps keep him regular, for breakfast he has fruit puree as that helps them go as wel

When babies 1st start off with solids they sometimes do get constipated. Mine always did. I feed my babies the prune baby food at least every morning with Oatmeal cereal (Rice cereal can bind) and sometimes use the prunes with other meals until they poop then back down with using the prunes to just the mornings again. The prunes work very well with my kids. I prefer the food over the juice. I would give that a try.

my boy was born on 16th of march. I also starred him on solids. and after around week he got constipated...it just takes time for their tummy to get used for new food...so i gave my son prune puree (just boiled prunes for few minutes and puree it) it worked very well and now he does his poo regularly.
it also depends what jar food u gave her..what ingredients are there?carrots can give constipation (this was in my case),or rice. so be careful choosing first foods, try single ingredients at first, then will be easier to spot what causing problem
good luck :)
