I'm just wondering how many March mommies are back fitting into their prepregnancy clothes. I'm not....I had to join weight watchers after my first one to lose the weigh and will probably do the same thing this time around once I've decided enough is enough. I start back to work in a week so that will give me the motivation I need since I can't wear sweatpants to work, even though I'd like to lol!
For those of you who are back to prepregnancy weight congratulations, I'd like to hear how you did it! Did it just melt away or did you have to work at it? I know some of you who bf probably lost it just because you were bf'ing, I solely bf and I'm not that lucky I have to actually work at it...and I don't quite have the motivation just yet!

I lost all my weight after the birth of my daughter. Starting weight was 130 got down to 120 then at the end of my pregnancy I reached a whopping 175. Left the hospital though weighing 145. And the other 15 pounds just kind of fell off at home. Being a single mom with no help kept me on my feet a lot.

I was 135 before my pregnancy, 182 before I gave birth. I actually was around 145 after the first 2 months. I was looking good. Then the 3rd month I got the depo birth control shot and it went downhill from there. I am now 160 and not budging even with exercise. My friend who got the depo right when she had her baby became very over weight with it. I've always had a great metabolism which is probably why I was losing weight so good...but now it's like I sweat and sweat...and NOTHING.

Well, just to be different, when I got out of hospital after having my baby I had lost 1 stone on my pre-pregnancy wieght! Have put it all back on now though, and more. It was such a relief to finally be able to eat normally again and not feel ill and repulsed by food the whole time.

I was fortunate enough to loose all my pregnany weight the two weeks after giving birth due to breast feeding. I didn't really realize it until I went for a check up two weeks after and had lost 21 pounds. Althought I have gained about 5 of that back. I was solely breast feeding then and now am doing both breast feeding and formula, more formula than breast milk which I think is why I gained a little bit. It is kind of frustrating that I gained some back because I was feeling so good about myself there for a while!

I'm not exactly there, but pretty close.. still up by about 5 lbs. but I think I like the way I look better with the extra 5 lbs. For starters, I am exclusively BFing, so that helps a lot. I worked really hard to lose the weight during my maternity leave. I live near a lake with a 5-mile radius, so I walked the lake 3-4 times/week with other mommies and some of my non-mommy girlfriends. I also just tried to make good food choices such as staying away from sugary fruit juices and eating granola bars instead of junk food.

Nope not back yet either and I am now really working at it too. I gained 60 lbs (we did IVF and all the hormones made me gain before pg). I am 8 lbs from pre pg and 16 from pre hormones. If anyone has any suggestions on toning this extra belly I have hanging in the front I would love to hear it :)

I haven't lost all my weight and I am busting my butt on P90X workouts 6 days a week(past 7 weeks), I run four miles twice a week and have reduced my calories into 5 small meals. I didn't gain very much in my pregnany (23 pounds) which I lost 13 pounds in the first three weeks but the last ten pounds are VERY stubborn. I can fit into my pants but they are tight so a few more weeks of hardcore working out and watching my diet should do the trick. The scale is just a number so I would go by how your clothes fit. People that lost quickly are very lucky! BTW, I bf for seven weeks..

I have lost all 35lbs from baby plus an extra 15lbs!!!!! I breastfeed and I started to walk about 45mins 4-5 days a week around a track near my house. Next week I'm going to start riding my bike everyother week and see if that helps me lose an extra 20lbs. Even though I have lost so much weight I still am having a hard time fitting into my old clothes. I think that my "love" (fat) has just shifted to new places.

Just weighed myself today and I'm 1/2 lb LESS than my pre-pregnancy weight. I guess I'm really lucky as I haven't worked out much at all. I am exclusively breastfeeding which I feel is a huge contributor!

I've lost quite a bit of weight. I'm back in my same size I was before I got pregnant. I do bf and that helped a lot. I also work out, but I have to take it easy due to a c-section. So workin out does help. I'm takin nursin classes and its says it takes about six months for u to get back the way u were before the baby, so good luck and give it sometime.

I'm nowhere near my pre-pregnancy weight..ugh! I did lose weight about 3 wks after I gave birth and was able to fit into my jeans I was super happy but then gain weight again and can no longer fit into them. I can however fit into some of my clothes which is good but I'm not happy with the way I look. I am BF so I'm def not dieting and I don’t have the time nor energy to exercise since I'm back to work already. I'm sure I will eventually make myself workout and lose the weight but for now I'm just going w/the flow. Good luck on losing weight just try not to stress out over it. Take care!

I, somehow, am 18 pounds lighter than my pre pregnancy weight. I lost weight for most of my pregnancy for some strange reason, but gained a ton the last month before delivery. I think I hit my pre pregnancy weight the day after I delivered, and then kept losing. I seem to have stopped losing for now, but I think i am gaining alot of muscle from carrying my big girl around(she weighs 16 pounds at almost 4 months old). I do know what you mean about not having the motivation to work at it....it gets tiring being a new mom, but I am trying to be more active with my husbands help, we go for family walks at lease once a week at the dog park. It's not much, but at least its something.... Good luck!

I've been extremely lucky and for some reason, I seem to be slimmer now than before I got pregnant. I think it's the metabolism and the dashing around that helps!! I'm not breastfeeding :0)

I had twins on the 16th and only gained 25lbs. All baby weight...I carried 12lbs worth of baby! I was back to pre-pregnancy weight in a week...and lost another 5lbs the following week. A COMPLETE shocker for me! As I gained 60lbs with my first, 7years ago, and still haven't lost it all...breast fed longer this time though. So I think thats the key!

It's being strange this time round. I lost my weight the first time when Mia starting crawling & walking. This time scales wise I didn't put any weight on at all but I did go up 2 dress sizes which was strange. I've not lost any weight after 16 weeks so the diet started Monday & I've been going to the gym for 4 weeks now. Hopefully it will start working soon. I want to drop about 5 stones which I believe is 70lbs (think I got that right). I'm hoping I can do it as soon as possible but I booked a holiday for September 2011 as an incentive ;0)

This time around I didn't bf but my weight just melted off of me just like my first. The only issue I am having is my boobs are still huge. Again like the first, they only went town a tiny bit and arent budging. Before any children i was a 36C now im a 40D ( I think, i dont fit in my 38D) so that sucks. I wish you the best on losing weight. The best way i found to lose weight, I would walk my dogs 5 to 10 miles a day.

I lost my weight the bad way - my husband left me when I was two months pregnant. I am working out at a Martial Arts school that teaches Cage Fitness. It's only a half hour class so I don't feel like I'm leaving the baby for too long plus if I can't find a sitter, they don't mind me bringing the baby along.

[deleted account]

I have lost all of my weight and then some! I am very happy about that extra poundage to lose. But remember every body is different...we are made up so uniquely so what works for some may not work for another, and some don't even really have to work at it. I worked out during my entire pregnancy, I ran up until I couldn't run anymore (my boobs were too sore for the bouncing lol), so I walked. I also did weight lifting and ab exercises, just took it easier. But I made a very conscience effort to maintain my workouts, even when I wasn't motivated to. I was back to working out after my post-partum checkup, and now 4 months later I'm back to running again occasionally. I am about 15 lbs less than pre-pregnancy! Yeah, I know right...WOW. I do breastfeed exclusively.

I walked out of the hospital in my normal; clothes. The again, I wore them throughout my pregnancy as well. I gained a total of 30lbs and I still need to lose about 10. I am in kinda the same boat as Daniell Tipton, I'm just not happy with how I look and I need to tone. I am getting prepared to re-enter the military though, so I HAVE to get in shape. I BF and that has helped a lot, but just wanting to be an active, playful mommy is my motivation. I want to be able to be a good example for "Prince" and when he looks back at the pics of this time, I wanna look healthy, and happy!! :-)

I am back quite soon at my goal weight, (BF still). I instruct Spinning Classes during maternity leave...extra money and you get your figure back! 14kg toddler is also helping to keep us fit!!! Just remember when you start exercising... you are likely to gain muscle , and that is heavier than fat... so do not check the scale , check pant-size....

I was about 160lbs when I found out I was pregnant and during the pregnancy wouldn't let the doctors tell me how much I was gaining but I imagine about 60lbs or so. When my son was 3 weeks old I decided to start hitting the gym and haven't stopped since! I was 199lbs when I started working out and I'm now 180lbs. So I lost almost 20lbs in 3 months. I am breastfeeding as well but I believe I would lose more weight if I didn't breastfeed because I have to really eat a lot to make any milk at all. I'm actually really glad that I'm not one of those women who just dop the weight in 2 or 3 weeks. Since having my son I have learned so much about diet and exercise and just being healthy in general. I still might be 25lbs from my weight loss goal but I'm in the best shape of my life!

I weighed about 105 before I got pregnant and had a nice set of abs. I gained about 60lbs when I was pregnant, but within a week after giving birth I had already lost 35lbs (must've been a lot of fluid retention). Right now I weigh about 107 and fit back into all of my clothes, however even though my stomach is flat, my abs are not very prominent yet, but I just started doing some ab workouts and their coming back. I guess I probably lost the weight because of breastfeeding because I did absolutely nothing physical until about a week ago. I have been eating very healthfully, as well and since I'm breastfeeding I make sure that if I'm not eating a meal that I have a snack every couple of hours to keep my metabolism in check because I get hungry very often because of bf.

[deleted account]

I had my little girl sydney on march 1st and i can actually say i think i am smaller than i was before I was pregnant. I had gained 35 pounds with sydney but I have been strictly breastfeeding for 4 months and I think that is the main reason I lost the weight so quickly. Sydney is also a very bright baby and does not like to stay in one spot for too long so we are constantly going for walks ro walking around the house. I am also a single mom so I dont have a guy to do all the "heavy lifting" of the car seats and things so i think those are factors too. Though the number on the scale is smaller, my body STILL doesnt feel the same as it use to so I have joined the gym to start toning my thighs and stomach up. I find it hard to find the time to go though, most days i wold much rather nap then work out lol

Our daughter was born on March 1 and I am back in some of my prepregnancy clothes. I am also BF exclusively. I still have some weight to drop though. They say not to drop too much weight too quickly if you are BF. This will cause toxins to get into your breastmilk which isn't good for the baby. Just remember, it took 9 months to put the weight on...it might take that long to get the weight back off. Just be patient and it will happen for all of us. I also try and walk a couple days a week when we can. Exercising and eating healthy will help you get there.

I have been back in my pre-pregnancy clothes for about a month and a half now. I bf and that helped a lot but I also don't eat anything fried and I eat tons of yogurt, fruit, and veggies. I also only drink water , milk, or orange juice. I also walk 3 to 4 times a week for about 2 miles. Good luck and it will come off just keep working at it

[deleted account]

I gained 40 lbs with my pregnancy, lost 28 in the first week. But it's taken me 3 and a half months to lose another nine lbs. So I still have 3 lbs to go to be back to my prepregnancy weight. Yesterday I wore pants other than pregnancy jeans and sweatpants for the first time! I've been walking pretty much every day and dieting really severely but the weight's just not coming off. It's frustrating!

My doctor told me to allow myself the 9 months it took to grow the baby to realistically be back to pre-pregnancy weight. That seemed to be about right with my first, but don't expect that your body will be the same. I'm almost there with my second, I've been working at it this time - running & swimming - but then again my body is not what it was before having kids. Good luck!

When I came home from the hospital I only had about 7 lbs to loose ( but I think it maybe more now) a few of my pants fit right away; but a few didn't. Besides taking my daughter on walks I haven't done anything special. Just last week I wore a pair of pants to work that haven't fit since about the 5 month of pregnancy. I also noticed that though those clothes fit, they fit differently in places. Good luck!
