Right now we do oatmeal cereal at breakfast and rice cereal at lunch. Each time, I use one of the formula scoopers and usually do about 2 1/2 of those then add his vegetable or fruit to it.

My baby wasn't handling rice cereal very well so we started him on oatmeal - basically the same thing. I've just started giving it to him once a day now, but soon we're going to do it twice a day and then start introducing other foods.

When i first started my son on rice cereal i started with one feeding a day 1 TBS *at 3 mo* 2 weeks later went to 2 TBS then 2 feedings a cereal a day. Now that he is on jar food he just has cereal for breakfast 3 TBS ... from experience too many meals of rice cereal will lead to constipation

i dont give it at all....we have oats porridge instead... my son tend to constipate after rice or even a carrot....so we have oats cereal with some fruits in it once a day by dinner, and some veggies and a bit of baby yogurt by lunch . we r 6+ months, still have solids just twice a day
