My son has started teething at 5 months, isnt it too early, i would like to know if there are remedies that can assist to ease the pain and get him to sleep at night.

Is is normal for him to be restless at night to sleep 2 hours and wake up every two hours. When does he start to sleep the whole night?

My son is teething too and he has had a few bad nights. He would wake up in the middle of the night and I would pick him up and he would be out of it. He was sleeping 10 hours before he started. Still waiting for the tooth to come. He has been very grizzly through the day as well. Have used a teething gel on his gums and that works for a couple of hours. It gives almost insant relief.

It is quite normal to teeth at 5 months.
By 5 months, most babies should be able to sleep through most of the nights. My girl used to get up every 4 hours at night around 3-4 months, when she turned 4 months, with little training, she can sleep 8 hours straight, I am very happy about it. I dont expect her can sleep 12 hours straight, like some other babies.

My daughter has been teething for about a little over a month now. Those teeth are trying so hard to come in! We just use Tylenol when her temp goes up and her poop changes, but they do have baby ora-jel and teething drops. We haven't used either but I know people who do and they say it works well.

Sleeping through the night is a baby-by-baby scenario.. both my girls have been sleeping through the night since before they were 2 months old, but we also put them to sleep on their bellies. Do you feed him when he wakes up in the middle of the night? If so, try waiting an extra half hour from when he wakes up to feed him, and just gradually prolong the time between and see if that doesn't help him sleep longer at night, and eventually through the night.

I think it depends on the baby. Every baby does things differently. My son started teething around three months also. He turned five months yesterday and has his two bottom teeth and is getting one on the top now. As far as remedies I just have teething rings that I put in the freezer and give to him to chew on and he loves that. He chews on pretty much anything though lol. He has been waking up a bit more during the night but as soon as I pick him up he's fine so maybe your son just wants to be held for a while. I think it's normal for them to be restless because they're in pain so I wouldn't worry about that. Good luck!

I guess it depends on every baby. My daughter is 4 1/2 months old and she started sleeping the whole night when she was 2 months. As for teething, she started when she was 3 months and she already has a tooth about to show.

For teething remedies you can use Ora-gel or the teething pills, or just baby pain medicine.
