That's really rough! Sorry you're REALLY experiencing The Waiting Game. :( But hopefully the doc's right and it will be any day here. That's the waiting game, it's up to he or she. lol So little and yet they have a lot of ability to dictate what's going on. :) Right now I'm at peace with it, cause I'm actually nervous about the labor part. My first child was totally healthy but the labor was tough. I had a panic attack from a combination of the ptossin (sp?) and the staydol they gave me for pain, and it was a BAD one. Plus my doctor at the time was really awful. This time, I got stuck without a doctor at 7months due to some medicaid snafu. It's been rough, but I'm trying to be calm and know that it will all work out.

I was due on March 19th and still haven't had my baby. I've been 2cm dilated for 3 weeks now and 80% effaced. Today I had a doctors appointment they did an ultrasound to check the fluids in the amniotic sac, stress test, and an internal exam. I'm now 3cm dilated and 90% effaced and had my "bloody show". I was told that they will let me go up to 42 weeks but the doctor thinks I'm going to have this baby any day. I hope she's right, I'm getting stressed over people calling and asking every 5 minutes if we had the baby yet. I am learning the hard way that waiting is the hardest part. I guess to look on the bright side your baby will come when he/she is ready.

Lol those are both cute names : ) His name is Rowan . but he's taking his father's last name so it wont be Davis .

Oh, yeah! Davis is a pretty good one to have for naming kids, it goes with a lot of things! Have you picked a name for your little one yet? Our older son (22mos.) is named Fox and we're naming our new little guy Leo. :)

oh gosh girl i know how you feel ! Im due March 26... 5 days till he's due and feels like forever!!! Im not dilated at all either which is really depressing...my cervix is soft but who knows... i'm hoping ill be a tad bit dilated at my appt on Monday at least.

My friend wasn't dilated at all at her appt and that night went into labor, so who knows...it could happen! :) good luck though either way. Hopefully ill meet my little prince this weekend or early this week. i really don't want him to come late!

I'm due the 30th too with our 2nd baby boy. I know how you feel, it's nerve-wracking and exciting! I'm at 2cm but no thinning yet. Since it's my 2nd they said it could really come at anytime, since the body has done this before I guess. But try your best to rest and relax now, while you can! Being pregnant is only half the battle, the other half is then taking care of a baby! lol This is my mantra anyway! Take care and I'm really happy for you!

Hi I'm due with my 2nd on the 27th March so pretty close to your date. Dont worry about being not dilated now - it has no bearing on when your baby will come, some people can be dilated 2 or 3 cm for a couple of weeks before the baby is born, some people can go from 0 to 10cm in a matter of a couple of hrs. I presume you must be in the US? Here in the UK you dont generally get a physical examination unless you are overdue, in labour or there is some problem, so you wouldnt know if you were at all dilated!

Dont worry on the day it matters you will dilate and you will know you are doing so! Take care and good luck X
