SLEEP SACK!!!!! .... not only are they warm ... but more safe than loose bedding.

My little one is hot blooded like her father. We put her in cotton footie pj's and then swaddle her with a very thin stretchy jersey blanket. She's also fine with a blanket b/c she doesn't move much when she's finally asleep. You could use a fleece sleep sack.

I do not use any blankets. It's pretty chilly in our house, but I put a long sleeve onsie and a one piece pajama over that on her. She only sleeps with this and it keeps her warm from head to toe..no blankets needed!

we keep our house pretty cool at night (70 + ceiling fan on high) so my daughter wears socks, cotton footed pajamas and a fleece sleep sack. or sometimes we'll just double up with cotton footed pajamas and fleece footed ones on top! no blankets though because she tosses and turns in her sleep so much that she usually ends up either the opposite direction or at the opposite end from where she started.

I put a blanket over my daughter basically since birth. I usually put it down towards her stomach and over her legs. Our house gets chilly at night so I want to make sure she is warm. She doesn't move around much when she is sleeping but when she wakes up she will roll to her back and grab the blanket to chew on it. She moves so well though that I don't have concerns of her not being able to breath with the blanket in there. Plus I am usually in her room when I hear her start to talk to herself.

Thanks guys...I tried a blanket but he keeps kicking it off! He also freaks out if something covers his face... so think we are gonna try the winter blanket sleepers! Thanks for all the great suggestions!

My little one likes to cover her face with everything. She freaks out when she does, so I can't put a blanket in with her. I usually use warm pjs, but I would also recommend the sleep sacks. They are like blankets that they can wear, & no worries of them covering their face.

My son has been in his own bed since he was 4 weeks old in his own room.
He wears a sleeping bag for bed but likes to cuddle his blankie, so he gets that then when I go to bed I take his blankie off him

We keep temp around 74/75. I was putting my dd in cotton pjs, but she has outgrown them so I have been putting her in 2 piece pjs w/feet in them (they snap at waist so babies can't wriggle out of them). She sleeps with a crocheted blanket and has occassionally covered her face. I was a little concerned but I think shes fine. I have been to a SIDs class and have read all about it, sometimes I think some of the suggestions are a little over the top. Just keep an eye on your LO and I'm sure he'll be fine.

my son actually has to have a blanket covering his face or else he won't go to sleep! i just make sure that it is a thin cotton one & check on him periodiaclly. i would def put a blanket in the crib w/ your son...just make sure that it is not too thick!

my son have a blanket thats tucked in his cot. he wriggles around and moves himself to the other end of the cot.. but on colder nights ill put a baby sleeping bag on him so even if he does wriggle out of the blankets hes still nice and warm :)

I only let my daughter sleep with crocheted blankets right now and i try to tuck them around her, but that does always work.... we use the crocheted blankets because if she puts it over her head, (which she was doing for a while) she won't sufficate because it has holes.... Now she actually pulls it up to her neck and sleeps like that...LOL

My daughter has a blanket that was made by her grammie, unfortunately she won't go to sleep without it. She sticks her fingers and her toes through the holes so it's like these little claws poking through. My oldest didn't have a blanket till he was a year old.
