Are any of you doubting the ultrasound "gender" results?

I also had questions about my gender scan that was done at 15 weeks and 5 days the tech told me she was sure it was a boy and one of my pics had a protrusion but three lines in the protrusion and another pic she took looked to what i thought was all girl so now my DH and i have no idea what we are having!

Hii. Well I'm having twins and we had an ultrasound done at 16w and 2d and baby we are sure it's a girl. She was all in the topen and baby a is tucked in my pelvis already and it took the guy 10 minutes to really see anything. And he says o there isn't anything hanging so it's a girl. To begin with he didn't even know which was baby a and baby b....I had to tell him. Soo now I'm second guessing him. And this was the very first time Ive been to this place. And they were sketchy walking in too. What do u think? I have two daughters already.

They were wrong with me. Thank goodness I found out before he was born though. However they think it may be twins now so I have to go for an u/s for that monday. So maybe they weren't wrong and I have one of each....who knows lol

Hi i wasnt sure either since I had all the classic signs of a boy, but my belly looked similar to my first born- a girl- until i was over 20 weeks. and at 19 they said it was a boy without giving me a percentage or anything and he seemed pretty sure. During the us, my fiance was there sayng he had seen the little boys parts and knew before we even told! none of that was enough for me lol i wasnt sure mainly because i was scared i would prepare for the wrong gender and i also have a daughter already whos expecting a little brother she calls *baby Chris* :P so having given away all my girls stuff and bought an all blue nursery iwas scared!! :P i went for a 3D us in december and was confirmed it was a boy 100% :) it was an amazing experience and i got a lot of pictures and a video so now im not so worried, i would recommend a 3D if you`re not sure and want to know 100% but either way, remember any healthy baby is a great addition :P so nothing can be that bad :) *good luck and congrats!*

There was no doubting my sons ultrasound, he was definatly all boy. But my little girl, I saw the 3 lines but we had to go back two weeks later and finish our ultrasound, I had read something that said that ultrasounds are a guess no matter how educated, and that made me second guess myself, so i asked again, and again he pointed out the three little lines and said she's still a girl :)

my SIL is expecting a baby a month after me (due april 19, im due mar 12) and she had an ultrasound at 15 weeks and they said girl and shes just going with it! i was shocked!!! i saw the ultrasound and there is nothing there but even the ultrasound tech put "girl?" she all ready had a shower and got all kinds of pink.. even though the tech said it was only a 60% chance she was right... crazy if you ask me!! with my first i didnt believe the tech when she said boy even though i could see a penis i was convinced it was a fluke or chord! until i got 2nd ultrasound, then i accepted that it was a boy (which was what i wanted) this time with a girl it was the same thing, i just couldnt let myself believe that it was a girl at 18 weeks... until i had my 30 wk ultrasound and she was still a girl! i dont know how people jump in like that!! crazy! i think even up until delivery i am skeptical!! everything always looks so jumbled up on those ultrasoundS

I don't know that I believe all the signs and symptoms of boys vs girls... Pregnancy is not something that goes "By the Book". Every one is different.. I am having boy number 2 and my symptoms are COMPLETELY different!!!! *I was sicker than sick my entire pregnancy with my first (I only gained 8 pounds my entire pregnancy, yet had a healthy 6 1/2 lb baby) and I was barely sick for the first few months with boy number 2,
I will say, one of my cousins Doctors were 100% sure that her first was a little girl, and when the baby came, low and behold... It's a BOY!! Even with technology they can still mess up. I say if you have a girl it's a girl, if it's a boy, it's a boy.. Be happy you're pregnant at all! =)

all my "signs and symptoms" indicate a boy, but i have had 2 scans that say no dangly bits :)

Well, we had another ultrasound cuz I was measuring small... got to see baby again (and baby is measuring perfectly, so all is good), but we did get to check for the gender again and it is most certainly a GIRL! Feels good to know!

With my son, you could tell it was a boy. With my daughter, you could tell, the 3 lines, like you said. I will say this, when I had an ultra sound at about 13 weeks my daughter still had a bit of a "tail" so it looked like it could have been a boy. But by 18ish weeks it was obvious. If you are questioning it, just do another ultrasound. Good luck!

i doubted mine but just because ive already had 2 boys... 2 of my earlier ultrasounds they said "maybe" boy maybe its the cord...lol then finally i was told girl for sure... My last ultrasound at 26 wks, at asked the nurse is it still a girl? lol

Well... i've scheduled a "baby debut" ultrasound for Dec 18th... It's hard... I'm terrible at guessing what I'm having... When I was prego w/Willow... I was so convienced we were having a boy, mostly because I wanted a girl... but my hubby new from the minute I told him that we pregnant that we were having a girl. He really felt we were having a boy this time... he was certain. My symptons have been very different this time around... so I thought... this was probaby a boy. I'm tending to believe the tech... but we're going to do the ultra-sound in about a month to know "for-sure" cuz i'm a planner and I'd feel terrible if we were telling our daughter she's having a baby sister and have this baby pop out a boy! I'd rather prepare her ahead of time. I'll let you all know come Dec 18th if the first tech was right... or if my hubby has been all along : )

I felt 100% sure I was having a boy- but the tech and Dr said Im having a girl- though the babies legs were crossed and they had trouble getting a shot. The heart rate hasnt been a helpful indicator either, its been as high as 150 and as low as 129. I still feel like Im having a boy, but I KNOW Im having a girl. Its odd. I know of 2 people in my family alone that thought they were having girls, up until the birth, and the babies came out boys so I guess anything is possible.

im exactly the same as you hun, from the moment i found out i was pregnant i had the feelings toward the male side, even my friends and family beleived i was having a boy, but when i went for my scan she said there were no boy bits, so it must be a girl, im quite nervous aswell, but march will reveal all

i would just like to say.... what are your instincts telling you? 70% of mothers guess their babies genders right. while pregnant with my son early on i used to dream he was a boy, but really wanted a girl. at 19 weeks i went for my ultrasound and was told he was indeed a boy. this time round i was dreaming we were having a girl, but didnt care what we had. at 16 weeks we found out we were having a girl

I would probably do that. I have plenty of ultrasounds due to medical so I got mine free. I am also doing the 3D one in December. I can't wait to see the babies features.

they won't do a recheck w/o a medical reason... so we're thinking about doing one of those "just for fun" ultrasounds... it's only about $100 and we'd wait until Dec when hopefully everything is a bit more obvious. It would just be nice to know "for sure"... I have all the "boy" symptons... I'm NOT a meat eater and that's ALL I want... when I was preggers w/ daughter I had acne and craved veggies/fruit and sweets... i guess every baby is different not just gender-wise.

I doubted mine at my 18 week check up. The boy part looked like the umbilical cord. So, when I had another ultrasound a 20 weeks I had them verify. And this time it was for sure a boy. It was definetly a penis shape. If you aren't sure ask for a recheck.

my ultrasound tech said that she has seen late blooming boys, that don't show until 24wks.

I'm not too sure about having a boy because every woman that I have talked to that have had boys or are pregnant with them say they never had acne or morning sickness and had a huge appetite which is all not true for me.

but i do have the pic and it does look like a boy so maybe i'm just different. I just wish i could meet one woman that says she has similar symptoms as me.
