Feels like NOTHING is happening!

i think im gonna end up having an april baby!! 2nd baby and im 39 weeks and 1 day, due march 30th with no dilation, not effaced and babys head is still high :S hopefully he comes soon!! im getting anxious and my fiance has to go back to work full time first week of april! we though we'd have tons of time as a family, now he might be working while im at the hospital :S

My due date was Feb. 28th but I had to be induced a week later. My cervix didn't reach 1cm until three days before my induction and my baby didn't drop until I was in labor as well. I felt like I was gonna be pregnant forever.

my little girl decided to come ON her due date. March 15th. the day before my water broke at 11AM and I never went into labor on my own so they induced me around midnight and she was born at 6:14AM on March 15th. She weighed 6 lbs 13 oz and was 19 inches long. Things are going well.

well, still no labor. I am heading to the hospital this morning for a schedule c section. I was hoping to go into labor to at least know what it was like, even if they still made me do a c section, I would at least have a little idea of labor. Oh well. I will post later when she is here!

Peta thats exactly what im going through!! I had my daughter at 40 wks 1 day and am currently 39 weeks and nothing! no dilation, not effaced- nada :S Im expecting to go to 40 weeks but i thought i'd see some progress by now! expecially since i have regular contractions that go for 6-10 hrs 5 mins apart and then just stop! doctor said it can happen but now i have no clue if i'll know when real labour comes! hoefully we get our little ones here soon (my daughter just turned 2 on the 17th so hoping their birthdays will be close together)

I am also 39wks 4 days and patiently waiting. I went 40wks 2days with my daughter so I am expecting to go over again. I haven't heard about the 2nd going earlier just a quicker labor, which I have been told by my doctor to expect. I had app 4days ago and my little man was head down and in but nothing at all but the occasional braxton hicks. I would have though chasing after my daughter (20mths) would have made this move along but nothing but waiting :( Another app in 2days - lets see what doc has to say :)

I've been having false labor pains for the last 11 hours and I'm wondering if they're going to go away or turn into real labor before I go crazy! It hurts enough that I'm working on my breathing during a contraction, but they are not regular at all. I'm supposed to be induced tomorrow morning, so I hope I can get some sleep tonight!

With my daugher it felt like some one was was squessing me and then with in 10-15 minits my water brok so we went in. With him some hurt and some don't they are not enought to be even worrried about but I don't want to have to be indused so I am hopeing he comes soon :)

Meghan* yea i was lucky to get there in time. I don't know bout any one else but my contractions felt like really bad cramps that was in my lower stomic and lower back.

holy cow Kaddie! well, I'm glad everything went well, but that's crazy! I have a 2 year old and I live about 35 mins from the hospital, so I am so nervous that if I do go into labor I wont know when its "time" and I will have to find somewhere for my son to go and then I will never make it. I'm so glad you did and that you and your baby are healthy. Me, I am 38 and 5 days and still pregnant as of 3/18.

Wow I'm an hr away and I would never have made it on my own!! I think all of us are going to be this way just weigting. It will happen when it does and hopefuly with out intervention :)

I had my lil girl at 37 weeks exact. When I went to the my appointment on a wednesday I wasn't dilated r any thing. Then the sunday after I started having contractions. I went to the hospital and they just sent me home. They said that I was changing. But then the next day I started having contractions more and more. I didnt think nothing of it because of what the hospital told me. Then around 5:30 that night the contractions started coming closer together. I tryed a warm bath to see if it would help just in case it was just braxton hix. Then I saw a lil blood and had the urge to push and I drove myself to the hospital because my husband was at work. Turned out I was 10cm and 100% effective and she was already crowning. My husband bearly got to see the birth. The doctors and nursed also bearly had time to but on gloves to dilver her. I had her 5 minutes after my water broke.

Dont worry when she is ready to come she will come. It dont matter where ur at. Im a first time mom and thought that I would have to be indused for my daughter but turned out I didnt. I feel in to labor on my on. I had her natural with no durgs and thought it was the best experince in my life.

Oh ya I am defently getting there. I'm 39 weeks and 2 days and I have ben 4 com and 80% effaced sience 38 and 2 days. I am so ready to have this baby. My OB was even suprsed to see me today. Now thats funny. If I got in on my due date then they may induce but I really just want him come soon.

ohh meghan i hope that you go into labor soon! i finally had my baby girl on the 15th and we came home from the hospital last night! it was amazing! ill be thinking labor thoughts for you!!

I hope so!! I never went into labor with my son (Scheduled c section) so I have not idea what to expect. But I am hoping for something soon!!! Good luck

meghan, im totally the same way! i walked all over the zoo and nothing.. i walk every night with my husband and son and nothing!! but i think i forgot what labor feels like in the begining? all i know is it hurts.. ive been having contractions but nothing "big" im just so over waitin!! drs appointment tomorrow! maybe she can get something going for me?? haha!

I walked our whole zoo loop twice saturday with my 2 yo son and still nothing. I was thinking of getting on the trampoline when he goes to gymnastics this week, JK!

Oh I hear ya! I am getting very impatient. I am 38 weeks today, and have been having random BH contractions for a few weeks now. But with my son (born at 39 weeks) I never went into labor, I had a schedule c-section.So I don't really know what the real thing feels like.

I have been at about 2 cm and 50% effaced for a few weeks now. Then this morning at around 3am I was getting horrible pains and contractions. I timed them for about 2 hours and they were 5 mins apart when we went to the hospital at 530am. I was monitored for about 2 more hours and nothing was happening so they sent me home. I was so sure that we were going to have her today. Now I'm all paranoid that I won't know when it is real and I'm gonna have her at home! This is driving me nuts!!!

im 39 and 4 today and have been in labour twice already this is my second and my first only made it too 38 and 2 so i wasnt expected to make it this far but today my back is absolutely killing me so maybe to day is the day

im at 40 weeks and 2 days today... i still feel like nothing is happening!! my dr appointment is tomrrow.. hoping for some changes from the last one?? i was 3 cm dialated then and 50% efaced but her head was still up pretty high.. i feel like she might be lower now.. but who knows.. i am hoping that i have been dialting, while i havent been feeling any contractions i have been losing mucous left and right and TONS of it! i told my husband that i think my vagina has a cold (LOL) hopefully i can get my membranes swept at the appointment and her head is low enough that it will help me get some contractions!!

come on!! bring on the paiN!!!

I just saw my Dr this morning and finally have an induction date (I'm 40 weeks and 2 days) and I have to wait a whole week! I'm scheduled for March 21st. He told me that I'm 2-3 cm dilated, but the baby's head is still high. I hope she's not huge by then!

Cori: that's so not fair... but a 9 pounder! OUCH! I had my Doc appointment today... I'm now 3cm, still 70% effaced and she's now -2 so she's dropped just a tiny bit... I have been having contractions... but they're still isn't a real pattern to them. Maybe tomorrow will be the big day! I'm ready that's for sure!

ugh! my 2 friends who were due 5 and 6 days after me had their babies yesterday and today!!! im literally going to be pregnant the longest!! they both had boys though, and they were over 8 and over 9 lbs each!! they were ready to come out!!

but we need to be patient!! our beauty queens will be here soon!! hopefully!! lol!

Cori: I'm right there with you! Bump car rides... cleaning the whole house... every once in a great while I really "feel" some contractions, but I don't think they're doing anything other than making me feel a bit like I might throw-up! I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon... but I have a feeling nothing has changed. Trying to keep myself distracted... but I just want my baby girl out where I can see her and know she's OK and hold her close!

im 39 and 5 and getting overly anxious! i just want to see my daughter and hold her in my arms! my midwife walked into the room today and asked me how i was and i said "DONE!!" and she said "well you dont look done!" she thinks i am going to be over due.. UGH! her head still needs to drop down, i was at 3cm dialated 50% efaced and her head is still up high (shes head down, but not down enough!)

ive been walking my butt off.. literally sore in the legs.. i am going to start skipping and galloping to get her head to drop.. maybe look some more stuff up on wives tales to get heads to drop.. i just need some contractions!

No worries, it will happen. Usually consecutive babies don't drop until you are in labor. So hang in there. I have 6 days to go and it still feels like FOREVER!

Today is my due date I have been trying everything for the past 4days or so and nothing not even a little BH, and he is still breech I think this will turn in to a c-section...

My first was born at 37wks 3days so it isn't true about the 2nd one being earlier, which is what I've also heard.

I'm 39 and 4 too! And nothing is happening here either. I haven't even had an internal exam yet, so I have no idea if I'm dilated or effaced. With my first, I was induced at 41 weeks, so I'm kind of expecting to go late with this one too. This time around though, I'm definitely not feeling the same sense of urgency to hurry up and deliver...maybe it's because this time I know what I'm in for...the pain, and the zero sleep for months!
