My twin girls were born just 2 nights ago at 34 weeks along. Aurora Jean was born at 9:03 tipping the scales at 4lbs 9 oz and 19 inches long, her sister Dalilah Beatrice was born at 9:04, weighing 4 lbs 4 oz and 17 inches long. They were born at 50ish hours of pre-term labor that we tried to stop using Magnesium Sulfate, after quickly beginning to dilate and thin out, a c-section was ordered.
They are now in the Special Care Nursery (a level 2 NICU I'm told) and will remain there for the next 3-4 weeks. Both are on breathing machines and under bili-lights with about a million wires, leads and tubes everywhere. We can't hold them yet, and even though with everything it looks really bad and really scary, they are actually doing really well for their gestation.
So happy birthday to my baby girls!!! I hope everyone else can make it to term and have healthy babies that can go home with you right away! Good luck to everyone!
