How to transition breastfed baby for Daycare?

My son will be 11 months old when he starts Daycare and has not taken to a bottle very well as I had exclusively breastfed him with the exception of introducing solids.

We have tried water and juice in a sippy cup and he will mostly play and bite it rather than drink from it without a lot of coaxing, and the amount would not even amount to 1-2 ounces a day.

Was hoping not to have to pump at work, so I am going to try to pump in the morning and after he goes to bed for the night and hope that I can pump 8 oz or so to bring to daycare in hopes he will drink it.

Any suggestions as I was hoping to transition him to Homo milk slowly so that he will be drinking it by 1 year old too.

My son too is breastfed and is eating a WIDE assortment of foods. We have been introducing a sippy of homo milk daily. Throughout the day he will finish one 5oz sippy. We started with water in the sippy since about 5 months old and yes he too would continually play with it and let it roll back out of his mouth at first. This past month he longer is playing with it and will actually seek out the water when he's thirsty. We also use a straw one that won't leak and he seems to prefer that one as his older sister uses that one so I'm sure it's a case of monkey see, monkey do :)

He too never took a bottle, and we have more success with the sippy. I have been back to work (no more than 5 hour shifts though) since he was 7 months and I find that there is no problem. He will eat his solids and some water (now milk) while I'm not with him and will nurse when I get home and before I go. I've even heard that babies (that are well established on solids) will go 12 hours shifts without nursing and will eat all their solids and will nurse when mom is around.

Hope this helps, just keep at the sippy cups and if you want less mess keep offering the water often throughout the day and he will get the hang of it :)
