I am looking for input about the progression/effects on the children of both daycare at a center versus having a nanny/caregiver come in daily? I have twin 7 1/2 month old twins. They currently go to a center but the prices have just increased to a tight amount for me. I have interviewed caregivers to come into my home to care for them while I work in my office upstairs. I have grown attached and my children feel safe and loved by the staff of my center. I want to ensure I am not making a mistake by leaving for financial reasons. I can make it happen, but need to decide if I am willing. If you are a parent who has used both and can speak to the impact on your kids (social skills, wellness, skill development, readiness at school age, etc.) it would help me tremendously. Thanks!

my 71/2 mos old baby has been in a daycare since she was 2mos old.... i can say for sure that it has helped her develope faster than the first 2 i had kept at home with me until they were preschool age lol. i believe the fact that they get to interract with other chldren helps them to develop social skills, wellness and ofcourse readiness at school age.
