Thank you again everyone! Actually figured out how to work the doppler a bit better (with a little help from my doc). I listen almost everyday and it really puts my mind at ease. Thank you again!

I couldn't hear my first baby's heartbeat with an at home doppler until I was close to 30 weeks. Unless your doctor is worried, you should relax... I know that's easier said than done, but it would be best for you and the baby.

Try not to worry my best friend just got her doppler and has only been able to find her babies heartbeat once and then it said it was way too slow.
I think dopplers are just scary this early. Maybe put it away and try it again in a month or two.

when you see your dr next they should do a foetal heart monitor also if your worried what i do is lay flat on my back and have a feel for a hard spot in my tummy. this is yous uterus and at 15 weeks you should be able to feel it. if you can theres nothing to be worried about. if not dont fret you may not know what to look for and dr will tell you if baby not growing next time you seem them

At 15 weeks with your first baby you aren't going to feel anything for a few more weeks yet, that is totally normal as to you feeling scared is also totally normal... I too bought a doppler with my first pregnancy, I'am now pregnant with my 3rd child, and I never could get that thing to work throughout my whole pregnancy...
As long as your Doctor isn't worried about anything than that is reassuring but you will continue to worry until you see your newborn baby and hear their first cry... I'm pregnant with my 3rd child and I still worry but I ask my Doctor lots of questions and try to ease my mind a little... I hope this helps you out some because no matter if you worry or not, your baby will be just fine... Good Luck and Congrats...

Thank you so much everyone. I even had nightmares last night. I have my 4 month doc appt tomorrow so I hope I can stay sane until then to hear that little heartbeat again. A girl friend of mine also lost her baby yesterday which makes my mind wander even further. Thank you again everyone!

At home fetal dopplars are notoriously unreliable and IMHO cause more worry and concern to a pregnant woman than anything else. It is possible that you'll start feeling kicking soon, but probably not for another month here.
It is frustrating and scary, and even when baby starts kicking, there will be times he or she will go longer with no movement than usual and you get worried all over again! It's par for the course in mommyhood. I'm on my second pregnancy and it's still just as scary and frustrating always wondering if everything is alright in there! Just trust your body to keep that little baby safe!

Ive had this problem just recently. I could hear baby just fine up until 13 weeks. Im now 15 weeks and ive tried and tried to find it again but baby seems to be hiding everytime it hears the doppler. Maybe your baby is just hiding? Or if your really worried go to the doc and they should be able to find it for you and if they cant they will more then likely send u for an ultrasound.

fetal dopplers are just there to scare new moms. a lot of your symptoms wont let up until you have the baby like crying all the time dizziness head aches rashes ect so that's how i know my baby is ok. you might feel kicking as soon as next week but a lot of us don't feel kicks until 19 or 20wks. With my first pregnancy my daughter had a bunch of complications and I was terrified, so I bought a fetal doppler also. It NEVER worked. I tried it multiple times a week until I had her and I could never hear anything so I wouldnt worry. Ive read reviews and it seems to be pretty common that people cant hear much.
