My son just turned 1 on the 25th along with his grandma on his dads side (they share a birthday) and we had a little party for him with family and close friends! I stuck his #1 candle on the cake and a candle on it for grandma and they blew out the candles together! We did a 1st birthday party theme with a 1 on his cake and the invitation cover replicated on it! I made ziti and meatballs and salad for everyone. Everything turned out wonderful he ended up looking like a smurf from his piece of cake!

Were having a ballerina themed birthday party at the park and inviting about 30 people and their children. I've hired a clown and a balloonist and can't wait! I'm setting up everything with loads of tulle, pink balloons, a candy Buffett etc... It will be super girly:)

LOl Jessica. My husband and his 2nd brother share a birthday as well. They're 2 years apart and DH says his brother is the worst birthday gift ever

My kids share a birthday, so E's 1st birthday is also K's 4th... As a result I had to get a little creative.

I ended up ordering all the supplies online for a Backyardigans party, because it is something they both like. I ordered the cake from Wal-Mart & they are throwing in a free matching smash cake for him, and putting her name on the big cake.

We are having their birthday party at the Science Museum of OK, but not renting the party room because it is over $200! Instead they told us it would be okay to have our cake & ice cream in the picnic area.

My daughters birthday was today but we will have her party on the 17th. :-) Pink and aqua/blue colour scheme and a Dorothy the Dinosaur cake.

Today on her actual day we opened presents and played with her new toys in the morning, she had a nap, then we had lunch and went to an indoor playcentre, then we came home for a rest and some more play before going out to dinner with Grandma. :-)

Happy birthday fellow March babies! :-)

In the chinese culture, a baby reaching the 1st year is a very big celebration. So we are having a big celebration for the baby's 1 year old birthday party with family and friends next week with balloons and cake in a buffet style brunch at my local community centre.

My daughter's was on the 9th. My inlaws are divorced so we had to have 2 separate parties.

On the 9th we went up to my MIL's and had a joint birthday party with her great uncle whose birthday is the same day as hers. My MIL made a 2 layer cake and decorated it herself.

Then on the 11th we went down to my FIL's sister's for another party I had made cupcakes with blue frosting and the older kids (including my 7 year old) just ran around.

I figure at age one they don't need a theme (I'm on my 2nd my first daughter doesn't remember her Dora themed party or that green was her favourite colour) Just a camera to capture them eatting cake for the first time.

My son's Bday was on the 11th. We had a family Bday party and the weather was great so we had the party in the garden. There was no specific Bday theme but the cake was several building blocks with a letter on each saying Happy Birthday Salim! One of the cubes had the number 1. We handed this cube to Salim and let him eat it with his hands. It was very funny and we all had a blast!
