Is anyone having a large baby?

I am just now 29 weeks and had an ultrasound that revealed that my lil' guy is 3.4 lbs. Is this too large for a 29 week pregnancy? Has anyone else been told that they are having a heavy baby?

Side note: I do not have gestational diabetes or any other medical factor which would cause a large baby. He also appeared very developed for a 29 week year, with big chubby cheeks and a round tummy! My date of conception has been verified by two doctors, this is just a recent growth spurt.

Those ultrasounds aren't completely accurate. They can't measure weight the way they do length and head size, they can only guess and in my experience they usually overestimate.

I have known a few people who were told they need to have c sections because their baby was going to be too big for them to have (9+ pounds for tiny little women, which is still crap but that's what they've been told) and then they have 6 or 7 pound babies.

Im almost 33 weeks and our little man is measuring 3 weeks ahead, I have a growth scan next week to assess his weight. I dont have gestational diabetes as I did with my daughter and hes still a chubby bubby!! We had a 4d scan done and our little man also is a big boy with chubby cheeks and forearms!

I am! At 29 weeks my lil girl was weighing in at 3lbs 9oz! The ultrasound tech said huh yeah she's gonna be a big one. Freaked me out! lol I have 2 other children. One was preemie at 4lbs 15oz and the other was 6lbs 13oz at 39 weeks. At my last ultrasound she was breech so I hope she turns soon before she gets too big! I don't care if she's big as long as she's healthy. Good luck with your big lil fella :)
