I haven't even gained 1 pound yet. I lost some weight 2 months ago and gained it back 1 month ago, however I haven't changed in a month and I am 19-20 weeks pregnant. This is my 4th pregnancy - i have two kids and 1 miscarriage. With my two kids I gained 60 with my first and 45 with my second! The weight gain was high but the babies were both good sizes and very healthy. I lost more than half the weight right after birth and the rest of it over the course of a couple months. With my first I did retain around 5+ pounds that I never did lose. Based on my history not gaining anything is really strange.I don't want to gain as much as I did, of course I would like to gain the recommended 25 pounds but I don't have a very big appetite and I still feel quite nauseous. I had my ultrasound last week and the tech said the due date based on this ultrasound is 1 week later than my original due date. My original due date is right on by my period, 1st ultrasound, and my uterus size (from what my doc has been saying so far). I am worried that my baby isn't going to be healthy because she isnt growing properly - or rather I'm not growing properly. The dr said the ultrasound showed all organs were good. Anyone else not gaining weight or had that before? What happened?

I have only gained about 5lbs and I am 27 weeks. Baby is measuring just fine on ultrasounds, so I am not worried. The biggest weight gain comes in the last few weeks anyway. Since I started out overweight, I am glad I am not gaining too much. I havent done anything to keep weight down either, so it is surprising to me that I havent gained more than I have. As long as your doc isnt saying anything about it, I wouldnt worry.

I'm 5'2 and started off this pregnancy at 145. I lost 15 lbs and have been steadily sitting 130 since about 12 weeks. I'm 23 weeks now.

I probably should have mentioned I'm pretty sturdy myself haha. I'm 6 feet tall and weigh 244. My friend is 5'5 and only ways 110 and she didn't gain any until her last trimester, so I don't know how much it matters. Just as long as the baby is growing well.

With my first son I lost 5 pounds but gained it back and a additional 10 as well by the time we delivered. With this baby I will be 23 weeks tomorrow and have not gained solid weight at all. I have been fluctuating between 249 and 252 the whole time. I am fluffy so I only need to gain 15-25 lbs anyways and the doctor said not to worry because the baby starts to weigh lbs this week so I should be gaining something soon LOL

That's probably a good idea. My doctor is very much for exercise and said I could (mostly) do anything I wanted but just as I started back at the gym my son caught the flu, then my husband and I. As soon as the flu was over a cold/caugh thing for 3 weeks. I think I am finally ready to get in and do SOMETHING lol. I agree, swimming seems like a good choice and at least some light cardio, maybe yoga. Food journal is a good idea.

Kristin, I think walking for around 20 minutes a day is good. As long as you don't do any crazy cardio. My doctor said swimming is fantastic, but it's a little chilly here currently lol. My friend was gaining a lot and her doctor told her to keep a food journal, and it helped her to make better snack choices.

I am a little worried. The last 1 I gained about 25lbs total and lost it right away just from nursing. But when I found out I was pregnant again (my son was about 9 months) and my milk supply depleted I started gaining right away. I have already gained 20 and I am only 24 weeks. The OB doesn't seem concerned but I am going to try and slow it down at this rate! Exercise maybe?

I'm 24 weeks and I still haven't gained anything. I've had a lot of morning sickness though (like it's still present). On the ultrasounds, though she's growing like she should. I wouldn't worry too much, babies grow at different rates after the first trimester, I believe. So, if they said all of the organ system's look good, I'm sure everything is fine, or they would have done a follow up scan,

With my first I didn't net any weight gain until the 20 week mark. Then I put on 25... this time around I was already up 20lb at 20 weeks! I just can't seem to slow down. I probably just need more excercise, but I find this time around I am much more tired.

My cousin lost 15 pounds in the first tri with her first and she never gained anything until the last few weeks she put on 5 pounds, so she stayed down overall. Her baby was healthy and perfect. She did start off a little overweight though.
