My family has relocated to here in Maryland since the hubby is working in dc/fort meade. I really miss my friends and really need to meet some mommy's here. I need to get my little guy a play date friend. Any ideas?!

each group is different for MOMSnext...ours is actually for both elementary AND working mom's...each group is different, our MOPS group isn't a religious group by any means, we just get together to have fun...i think it depends on the group...

MOMSnext is for Moms of elementary school age kids (Mine are only 2 & 3). I am also not keen on the "Lifestyle evangelism" required by MOMSnext. I am fine with everything else they require. I would love something for working Moms inclusive of all religious groups.

our local MOPS group also has one for working moms, but it isn't called MOPS it is called MOMSnext

I wish MOPS was working Mom friendly (at least it is not in MoCo), there is nothing for working Moms. It annoys me that all children's classes and activities are geared around workday hours.

have you checked out www.mops.org I live in Western Maryland, very small town, and we have a very active group of mom's! MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers...it's amazing! We do all sorts of fun things, next week we are making mommy bracelets, the week after that we are making cookies in a jar, and then the week of Christmas we are doing a little christmas dinner and ornament exchange! It's been awesome for both me and my son!

Hello. My little guy is 2 and a half. He'll be 3 in Dec. Congrats on the new baby coming. We were navy. He actually got out a couple years ago to finish school. My whole family is navy actually. What branch are you guys?
