My 5 year old Son gets a tantrum and it is hard to go anywhere with him, how can i calm him down in public, at home i give him timeout when we're home, i am a single parent too, it gets a little too much with 2 boys, please help!

If I am out and having trouble with my son, I leave where I am. He does not like being taken out to the car for time to calm down, at home i ignore it completely and it works wonders, they do it for attention which i refuse to give.
