My daughter just turned 6 on Sunday and over the past week she's been telling my husband and I that her leg hurts. She told a friend about the leg pain and her friend whos older told her it was growing pain and that's what I think it is too... My question is there anything i can for her to help ease the pain?? She seems like she's in a lot of pain and all she wants to do when it starts to hurt is sit down. I know some of it might be her "over acting" the pain but I can see the pain in her face sometimes and I don't know what i can do to help ease it if there is anything i can do.

My son gets them, and I remember having horrible growing pains when growing up. (charlie horses in my legs I used to get). I make Alex take a warm as he can take it bath and then, when he is done. I let him lie on the couch and I will give him a quick leg massage. Don't push too hard as their muscles are still growing, but it seems to help him. His are not too often though. She can also take children's Motrin on occasion, if it gets to be too much. Children suffer these in varying amounts. She may just be feeling them more severely than most.

Thanks for the reply I haven't been on here forever but since she's still growing if she has the pain anymore I will try your suggestion out.
