How can I drop my daughter off at school and get her to walk in by herself without me taking her to her classroom and have her teacher distract her so I can sneak out? (she's 5 1/2). I have tried convincing her and forcing her ... nothing works!

What about positive reinforcement? She just thinks she is missing out on all the fun. Maybe tell her of the Treats, Prizes, or places to go if she goes without the struggle. Does this only happen when you drop her at school? Or does she do it any time you are separating? I see you also have a little one? She may be jealous of the time you get to spend with the little one while she is gone. I walk my son to school with my 3 yr old in tow. All the kids line up outside and wait for the teacher to open the door when the bell rings. I stay up until she opens the door. I don't trust them all to behave and not have any adult supervision. But, he use to have issues with thinking we were having a blast without him. So I did the we'll watch this movie when you get home thing and it totally worked. I even started bringing stickers with me in the morning and gave them to the kids who were standing in line quietly. They all soon followed suit :)

I used to sit a few minutes with my son, then went out. She might throw a bit of a fit, but the teacher will know how to handle it.
