My son was never fond of milk but now he has almost stopped taking any maybe 4-6 ounces a day which i feel is far too less.He eats 1 yogurt and slice of kraft cheese a day and food is also enough but what should i do about milk?

My son was BFed and when I tried to get him to drink cow milk he refused. Now he will only drink it if it is flavored. I mostly give him Chocolate milk. Sometimes he gets strawberry flavored milk (sold next to the chocolate powder). Carnation makes a good vanilla flavoring for milk as well, but it's more expensive.

Our pediatrician said to give them chocolate milk if you can't get them to drink white milk. I've found that if I put just a little of the chocolate syrup in the milk he will drink it. Not really enough for flavor but just him seeing me add it seems to help.

Dont worry about it. My daughter never drinks milk, at least out of a sippy cup. She likes the Horizan Organic chocolate milk sometimes, but she was raised on soy milk. She doesn't even drink that now! She loves yogurt and cheese, but honostly, drinking milk isn't the best thing for you everyday, anyway. Glo drinks water. Hardly ever drinks juice, but she also eats fresh fruit and veggies every day. There is a lot of calcium in broccoli, too. We also make fresh fruit smoothies with soy or rice milk and she loves them. Her favorite is a blueberry muffin smoothie--blueberries, rice milk, wheat germ, flax seed, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and ice--its delicious!
