I have been trying to find some activities (indoors) that are good and might keep him entertained other than TV. It is cold outside and he gets sick really easy so going outside is really not an option until spring/summer......any ideas?

My son loves to pretend he's playing sports! And sometimes he doesn't even have to use a real ball he'll use an imaginary one and run to make a touchdown or he hits a homerun. There's no mess and it gets all of his energy out!

Thanks a bunch Jo, I have tried the colouring, however that gets his attention maybe 5 mins then he is running all over the house. (Then it is time for a game for mommy, catch me with the crayons before I mark on something other than paper....lol). I will have to try some of your other ideas like the indoor cubby. I just find it very hard to keep his attention on one paticular thing hahaha (which I am sure is typical for a 2 year old lil boy). Thanks again!

Some of my son's favs are colouring in together, building with blocks, playing "indoor cubby" with blankets and some cleverly arranged chairs, dancing & singing to music, playing pretend games ("pretend you're a... dinosaur! Now pretend you're a... monkey!")

In terms of play-by-yourself games, he likes drawing pictures, writing letters to his grandparents, "reading" books, and playing pretend musical instruments.
