Any moms going thru the transition of nursing to homo milk?

I have been dealing with the same thing, my daughter doesn't nurse for very long, but then wants to nurse much more frequently.

I was under the impression that cow's milk was only for babies 1 yr and older, I guess every place has it's own ideas, but I am curious if Cows milk has enough nutrients as a substitute?

Hi, I am going through the same issue with my daughter who is 9 mos today, and i was going to ask her pedi at her appt if she can transition to whole milk and bypass formula. She is not nursing much during the day and i am pumping, but my supply is dwindling. I think if you mix your milk with the whole milk, you might have success. I was wondering if that was happening as I know I would be very full in the AM and she nurses without stopping for a good 4- 6 minutes then on and off for the next 10-15 minutes. Thankjs for the insite :)

Its not the bottle that Sara isn't liking (thankfully :D ) as she has been feeding off of a bottle since Nov. I'm wondering if it is the different taste. The doctor suggested diluting the homo with water (1/2 of each) but I'm wondering if I should dilute it with my milk...

i stopped breasting during the day and only fed morning and night when i went back to work. i managed to do this for the past 3months and have only just stopped as i havent got a good supply anymore, but my son did refuse bottles to start, i had to pin him in my arms to get it down him but after a week of this and waiting til he was really hungry did the trick, just keep going and she will get the hang of it, try using expressed breastmilk first to get her used to the idea then try different milk when she is happier
