My daughter was potty trained at 18months and completely toilet trained at 24 months and has only wet the bed acouple of times as she usually calls out in the night if she needs to go. But she was a dream baby and extreamly bright, my next baby might not be so quick.

I potty trained my son at 20 months old right before my second child was born. I just told him it was time to go to the bathroom like all of his favorite people i.e grandpa and grandma and mommy and daddy! I lead by example by letting him in the bathroom with me and saying " see mommy use the toilet like a big girl and you can too." I also go him excited about flushing!! But the best tip I can share that worked for my son is to make a HUGE deal when he does use the toilet clapping and shouting yay! He loved it!

Wow how did you girls do it?! My son is so smart yet he won't for the life of me try to pee in the potty we have been trying to train him for about 2 months, he is so hard headed, after we sit for a while and nothing happens I put the little big boy undies and he goes off and poos, so I have to throw them away. Just how long did your boys take? I know girls take less effort to train.

My son is too. But he had the mother of all diaper rashes (MRSA!) this spring and that really cemented his desire to be out of diapers!

Well...she never wore a diaper at night once she trained she refused to. And I did absolutely nothing to get her to train. Never once showed her how or anything but she is the youngest of 5 and her 4yr old brother pooped his pants at the playground one day and then she was like" I am a BIG GIRL I NO wear DIAPERS NO MORE!!!!" So we went and bought her Dora panties and ever since she has not worn diapers!!♥

I think my son is more on top of it than i am! i showed him maybe ten times how to use the potty and now he asks me all day long! not sure if i want to say that he is completely potty trained because he wears diapers at night but he sure is on top of it!
